Thanks guys! I had a lot of fun building this little baby. I think I may have overdone it a bit with the wavy white/black transition... and I forgot to add the gills. All in all though, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Looks excellent Greg. It would be nice if you could get a scale figure of Tintin to stand proudly alongside.

Turned out great! Congratulations! I like this inventive DIY stuff actually much more than - let's say - the umpteenth version of a Tiger...

Thanks a lot guys! That's some kind words from some modellers work/skills I respect very much! As for the mouth... it's there! You just can't see it well because I did forget to check where it would sit on the stand. It fits, barely, but it looks like he's biting the first support post. I added a bit of subtle (well, for me) panel lines, so I'll try to take some new pics that show off the mouth better. The only thing (AFIK) that I didn't do yet was the gills. I may do them as decals the next time I print some off. That will probably work better than trying to hand paint three straight lines...😉

Oh Martin... if you like inventive DIY stuff... you should check out Whatifmodellers.com - there's some amazing builds there. I'm partial to the Fiat G.55 Centauro done up as Vatican City Air Force, complete with holy water bombs, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Here's my build thread as a link - whatifmodellers.com/..p/topic,43201.0.html

Looks great 🙂 The body looks a bit like the fuselage of an Messerschmitt Me 262.

Heh Thomas, that's because it IS the fuselage of an Messerschmitt Me 262! I used the Tamiya 1/100 kit as a donor to make a 1/72 sub. You can see how I scratchbuilt it into the Tintin Shark Submarine in my build log - Red Rackham's Treasure (Shark Submarine) | Album by strobez (1:72)
