Whow this is really a breathtaking beauty you created there! Can you explain me what kind of rigging thread you did used and how you managed to fix the hooks for the thread? I have the same airplaine (not the stripped down Version) in my stash and wait until I have the courage to start it...

Thank you mates! Regarding competition: I won Bronze with it in Fürstenfeldbruck
(nice row: Demoiselle 4th, D.H.2 Stripdown 3rd, last year Nieuport 17 Flyboys 2nd place.
So how to continue this row this year? with MOAB and Bristol Fighter I hope).

Thank you Lochsa! I have also a normal kit of the D.H.2 in stash to build it one day (again with metal booms) to display both together.

Looking forward to that one Frank. The D.H.2 is my favourite WWI bird. 🙂

Thank you mates!
David, this build was done long ago, but I mentioned this as masterpiece, so Lochsa digged it out of the deep of SM 🙂
John, my username has its roots in the hunt for software errors, the so-called bugs.

Thank you David!
I still like it, but as I build this 7 years ago I would do some things in a different way today. I meantime I learned a lot and we have now better accessories.

Mr James
Wow, like David, I've never see anything like it. It must have taken at least a couple of hours to build 🙂

bughunter
For sure! The internal rigging in the wings alone - it eats the Gaspatch turnbuckles for breakfast. 😉

I forgot to mention: this was the only strip down model by Eduard in 1:48 so far, but you should not miss my other ones in 1:72! Here Eduard has created 6 kits. The Fokker Dr.I was released again in a reworked edition, so this can be seen as number 7. I have not yet build all, but here is my collection: bughunter

It is an older model, but due to all the recent interest and the new likes I replaced all pictures by identical one, but much bigger size according to the new rules. As this shows much more detail it was worth the effort.
I really like pic 17 because it dhows the crazy rigging 🙂
