Christian Bruer The old Italeri scale 1/72 F-104C is still a kit with a good basic fuselage and wings. The overall dimensions are ok, but there is a misshap with the position of the wingtip tanks. They are to much forward and have to be corrected in postion if required. The cockpit and wheel bays lack a lot of details and the clear parts does not fit very well. But all in all it is the only available F-104C to built an early Starfighter that saw service in Vietnam. So up we go and modifie all the necessary details with aftermarket and scratch built techniques using styrene in variuse sizes and profiles.

Christian Bruer Spanjaard, you're definitely in the front row. This is one of the projects I have started during the summertime, there is much more in progress so be patient.

Spanjaard i certainly will
knowing how attention you give to kits, I think there is something you may want to correct... the antenna in center right box of picture 8, is not round, but flat. of course round will probably be a lot more robust but....

Christian Bruer Ups, mmhh may the did not have any more flat material and used some left over rod material for the antenna
Please do not tell anybody - psst
Ingmar Stöhr Hey Christian. Great to see you back at the bench! And with stunning little gems - as always.

Ingmar Stöhr Looking forward to see some paint on the 3D printed figures, as currently they are somewhat stealthy

Christian Bruer Hey Ingmar, thank you for your kind words. I did some modelmaking during the summertime, but lost a bit the patience to continue on one project. So there are a lot of projects in doing, some of them as a Group Built on FB on Modellschmiede Hämelerwald. I hope to finish the one or other till the end of this year

Christian Bruer @Ingmar, haha yes, the figures looks to transparent at the moment. But so far as you can see, the details are amazing!
