Still love that color combination. Well done!
Started the Mustang one week ago. The first work goes fast from the hand. more time i need for the body to finish. in the meantime the third wet sanding and third coat of clear.
I finished her a couple of weeks ago. She needs some work here and there, but not a bad kit overall
agree Martin. The kit is "simple", but very nice to build and looks very nice when ready.
My weekly update - the Mustang goes traight ahead to the finish line.
I painted the interior, details on the dashboard and paiunted the body also.
After drying, i made the decals and bmf, completed the interior.
I'm a sucker for dark green cars with a white/cream interior.
Thanks Martin - i like light interiors also. And this Pony is beautiful!
Because i am straight ahead to the finish line. putted in the interior, Chassis and completed the body. Beautiful!
Nice tight paintjob, great polishing and overall top job 👍
Love that Colour. Is it a genuine Ford shade?
Nigel, the color is named "Ivy green", it is the original color
...now after the chassis, interior is mounted, you know, that the finish is no far step away. so it is on this one - i call it complete!
Looks fantastic, wheels just right
It needs outside pictures in the sun!

Thank you Banjamin, thank you bob. Interesting!
Same work on the Hertz. It is good, to work on two (or more) models at the same time :-D .
made the BMF on the body and a clearcoat. comleted the interior and "hurry" up to the decals.
After two hours the stripes were on. without cracking (a little bit), with some spots with decalsofter - but it worked out.
As you see, my strpes are not as narrow to each other...i cuttet them in length also :-D ...and layed on part for part.
Decals went on the grill and water reservoir too.
up to clearcoat 😉
btw: interior is only dropped in to have a look to the narrow end
Gold stripes are lookin' sweeeet! Keep up the good work!
Looks so good!

Very realistic and convincing age effects ! Even in such a poor state it's still one of the most beautiful cars ever built. Makes me feel really sorry to see it in this state.... 😄
Really nice "Rostlaube" 👍
Great build, idea and rust realization!
thank you very much! That work i take between to others...man, that went in small steps now.
But, i made some small progress at him:
weathered some parts (most chrome parts) and mounted them. it comes together

The color and shine looks fantastic
I'm going to dream about that colour tonight 😄
incredible shiny paint job 👍

I layed old builds byside to get my mind clean and start "from zero", to find new motivation.
i started some new "Projects": I decided to build the generations of Mustangs -like my brother builds his Corvette-Collection.
And this two Mustangs i got from my friend MIchi, they were the starting point!
In their progress i painted some other, old builds also parallel. f.e. painted the new builds (upcoming) and also painted the 68 Chevell new. clearcoated the 70 challenger, 67 Camaro, painted some black on all (six builts). makes sense?
No, it doesn't. But it is good to see you're back at it 👍
What was following?
I changed the color, painted the frame and made a very quick weathering.
Looking forward ......
That is an interesting mix of old school cab with modern towing technology.
Hopping on board. This is something I've been mulling over for a while.
.....aaand some progress a month ago. I completed the cab and painted the last parts for the truck. also weathering on them, including the wheels. Now i lay it byside for other projects :-D
I always loved that body design - my brother gave me the "Yankee" kit as a preent and i defenitily wanted to build it as a coupe (the Convertible is since my childhood in the collection).
My three wishes?
- Of course white interior - i am a big fan of that
- shaker hood
- light blue (B5)
I'm watching- you always work nice.
Looking over your shoulder 🙂
Following. I am a Challenger fan too.
American Restomod Workshop "GRAND OPENING" | Album by musclecarfan (1:25)
Thanks mates. Nothing happend yet, just working on two DieCast models.
@Bill: saw your opening 😉 . Nice couple of Challengers lined up
Some days ago, i work "btw" on the roof. Sanding, filling with putty, sanding and so on.
today a painted the first layer of filler to have a look where i have to work on before primer and basecolor painting.
Some progress of my Challenger.
i decided to use the flat hood also. perhaps to change instad of the shaker hood.
so, i filled the hole, some putty and a couple of sanding and filling...sanding...filling...
after i was fine with the result, i painted the body and all parts with light blue metallic.
Good, very good... But the interior stays in white, isn't it?
Made some progress on this one.
Painted the interior carpet, enginebay andother parts black. Also the body became the final clear coat.

A good build pony car. Very nice.
Thanks - the compliments are going to Michi 😉
Say hello to Michi: Sehr schön gemacht!
Looks good, did the stripes come with the kit?
I will tell him Neuling 😉 . I've posted a second one he gave me.
Nigel, yes, the stripes are in the kit
Looking great. Did you change the wheels and the tyres?
István, the kit ist as is in the box 😉 . on my next own Mustang i think about changing the wheels or the stance
I don't think I can hit the LIKE button enough on these !
Thank you very much! Much appreciated and i give the compliments to my friend
This paintjob is so good.
They did make, what was known as the "BLACK BULLITT" in 08.
Great Finish!!! Wow!
Thank you very much! I will give your compliments to Michi.
@Bob: thats interesting! Never heard about a Black Bullitt. Awesome!

Very nicely done! I just received this kit, are there any problems with the build that I need to be aware of?
Karl, i have no issues in mind. I only remember the front axle is very thin. it goes very well together.
Good work on an oldie ,,, congrats
Thank you Julian

Cool album. I remember a lot of "gifts" 😉 Maybe I'd do such an album too.
Excellent work! My personal fav is the Yellow (Ford?) with leaves all over it, and the 57(?) Chevy pickup truck (last two pics) you can't tell I'm not a car buff, can you? LOL. The Chevy truck reminds me of a song by C.W. McCall called, 'Classified':
I's thumbin' through the want ads in the Shelby County Tribune when this classified advertisement caught my eye. It said, "Take imme-di-ate delivery on this '57 Chevrolet half-ton pickup truck. Will sell or swap for a hide-a-bed and thirty-five bucks. Call One-four-oh, ring two, and ask for Bob."
Well, I called Bob up on the telephone, he says, "Hello, this is Bob speakin'." I says "This here the Bob got the pickup truck for sale?" He says, "Yeah." I says, "Where are ya?" He says, "Fourteen east on County 12, turn right on the one-lane gravel road, you can park in the yard, beware of the dog, wipe your feet off, knock three times, and bring your billfold."
Well, I tooled on east on County 12, turned right on the one-lane gravel road, and I parked in the yard and a German shepherd come out and grabbed onto my leg. Then I knocked three times and wiped my feet, the dog let go and the screen door opened and Bob come out and says "Whaddya want?" I says, "Come to see your truck." He says, "Follow me. Come on, Frank." (Dog's name is Frank.)
Well, we all went past the chicken house, through the hog pen, down to the tractor shed, and then wound up in back of the barn in a field of cowpies. And settin' right there in a pool of grease was a half-ton Chevy pickup truck with a 1960 license plate, a bumper sticker says "Vote for Dick" and Brillo box full of rusty parts, and Bob says "Whaddya think?"
Well, I kicked the tires and I got in the seat and set on a petrified apple core and found a bunch of field mice livin' in the glove compartment. He says, "Her shaft is bent and her rear end leaks, you can fix her quick with an oily rag. Use a nail as a starter; I lost the key. Don't pay no mind to that whirrin' sound. She use a little oil, but outside a' that, she's cherry."
I says, "What'll take?" He says, "What've you got?" I says, "Twenty-eight dollars and fifteen cents." He says, "You got a deal. Sign here, I'll go get the title and a can full of gas." I put the nail in the slot and fired 'er up; she coughed and belched up a bunch a' smoke and I backed her right through the hog pen into the yard
Well, Frank jumped in and bit my leg and I beat him off with a crowbar. He jumped on out and the door fell off and the left front tire went flat. I jacked it up and patched the tube and Frank tore a piece of my shirt off. Then Bob come out and called him off and says "You better'd get on out of here."
I went left on the one-lane gravel road, went fourteen west on County 12. Took two full quarts of forty-weight oil just to get her to the Conoco station. And I pulled up to the Regular pump and then Harold Sykes and his kid come out. He says, "I've seen better stuff at junkyards and where'd you ever get that truck?"
I says, "That's a long story, Harold. I's thumbin' through the want ads in the Shelby County Tribune when this classified advertisement caught my eye. It said, "Take imme-di-ate delivery on this '57 Chevrolet half-ton pickup truck. Will sell or swap for a hide-a-bed and thirty-five bucks..."
Bro, do it the same 🙂 . Those "Junkers" are always nice to look at and if some will restored, good to see how it looks before 😉
Tom, :-D ...carguy or not - same hobby! The yellow is a 57 BelAir, the Pickup is a chevy. 55? Cameo.
i have to search for this song.
soso. Added some more 🙂

What a shiny coat!
Flawless paint finish! 👍
Yes James, the paint was awesome. But after a couple of days/weeks, the clearcoat cracked. I tried to repair the spots, but it was worst from step to step. so i decided (after my motorcycle crash because i can't build) to strip the hole body and start painting again.
That is what happens today. after sanding and filler, i layed the first orange on it. lets let it dray and it goes forward again.
🙁 that sucks.
Sucks indeed. Lets hope attempt 2 will be fully successful
A good friend of our modellers club has built a lot of NASCARs years ago. I asked him, if i am allowed to post them here. of course! Thank you Holger!
I will post from time to time - those 11 are the first run 😉
Awesome collection! Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks! Now they are completed yet. perhaps, Holger (who ownes the collection) has some again 😉

Nice clean build Dominik 👍 I bought the same kit today, but I can't figure out what to do with the small metal rod. Do you know?
Nice dude! Top presentation!!
Martin, wich metal rod do you mean? does it show in the instruction sheet? perhaps it was the exhaust
Great work, as usual.
What is that hole on the left C-pillar?
There is a 2 cm long, 1 mm thick metal rod in the box. Can't find it in the instructions.
@Istvan: it is the place for the fuelcap - lefthand ir righthanddrive. i forgot to cloe that.
@Martin: oh. i didn't had that in mind, that it is 2cm long. I thought it was the exhaust-end. Now, i take a really close look on mine...perhaps i see it installed somewhere 🙂
I didn't see it in the instruction sheet.
