Thanks mates 😉
Bill, i know that and it is not to late. Thank you for the hint . The wing Windows are molded on the windshield (i think, but know i have to take a look on it). I thought about that and the Chromepillar will be attached if i mount the windows.
Very nice looking paint finish 👍
Looking awesome Dom ! I Finished The Nicky Camaro a while back, great kit but have you seen how much it's selling for now ? It's crazy expensive !
Thank you james and Bob.
Yes, i saw the crazy prices! I was lucky to get one in a bundle of two kits. The first Revell 57 BelAir (with opening doors) and the Nicky Camaro....the bid and win was fine.
btw, the wing windows are in the box as separat parts on the clear sprew

Looking good. Love that interior, especially the Hurst shifter
Boy, you went all in on the engine detail. 🙂
Thank you Nigel and Bill 😊. Much appreciated
Also on the last weekend I made all the trim and finally two layers of clear coat.
Next step will be to paint the black parts on the bottom of the body (again) and on the hood.
Than the vinyl top.
What a shiny coat!
Flawless paint finish! 👍

I always loved that body design - my brother gave me the "Yankee" kit as a preent and i defenitily wanted to build it as a coupe (the Convertible is since my childhood in the collection).
My three wishes?
- Of course white interior - i am a big fan of that
- shaker hood
- light blue (B5)
I'm watching- you always work nice.
Looking over your shoulder 🙂
Following. I am a Challenger fan too.
American Restomod Workshop "GRAND OPENING" | Album by musclecarfan (1:25)
Thanks mates. Nothing happend yet, just working on two DieCast models.
@Bill: saw your opening 😉 . Nice couple of Challengers lined up
Some days ago, i work "btw" on the roof. Sanding, filling with putty, sanding and so on.
today a painted the first layer of filler to have a look where i have to work on before primer and basecolor painting.
Some progress of my Challenger.
i decided to use the flat hood also. perhaps to change instad of the shaker hood.
so, i filled the hole, some putty and a couple of sanding and filling...sanding...filling...
after i was fine with the result, i painted the body and all parts with light blue metallic.
Good, very good... But the interior stays in white, isn't it?

I'm using brake fluid... needs long time and some colors won't work.
On the other hand I used Downol. A painter remover for artists. That I use for taillights.
I'll keep your Tipps in mind Dennis. Thanks a lot!
"Glanzer" is also very efficient and it is not destroying the plastic at all. I regularly used it, it is cheap and easy to find in the supermarket.
You are talking about Glanzer decapant? Green bottle? Never heard about that stuff but makes sense because it's purpose is to remove floor varnish. Guess there must a German pendant... does it work on lacquer paints too?
yes, glanzer decapant, it works on both paints. I never had any issue with that one
Thanks! I'll have to give it a try...

You know, that I like this creation! All the self made parts look as they came with the kit.
No pictures with extended roof tent :/? 🙂
Very nice build! Looking forward to the base .........
Yes, well done! Looks like from a Camel Trophy.
it looks excellent.
Looks great. How did you create your 'snow'?
Thanks a lot!
Nigel, the snow is made from a mixture of crushed sodatabs, wood glue and a little bit of water. i dipped it on with a hard brush. it is sick enough to fill up the rims for example or the undercarriage. as it hardened out, it is hard like a rock, so you have to remove it (for example on the windshield) immediately when it is on spots you won't like it.
i have not repainted it with the airbrush to have it that kiind of dusty. it is all made with the mixture.
it is like with everything: slowly feel for the "perfect" result. I'm really happy with that result - came out as i wished.
it certainly looks great
very nice ! great job !

Nice build .... reminds me of my Akai tape recorder ....
Brings back some memories. Did you know you can still buy cassette tapes, though expensive
Now thats a beauty. Good Job mate! I really like the BASF-Warpaint. Pops out. What decals did you use?
Dennis, the Decals are from Cartograf, but i don't know, where i ordered them...i know, that the wheelarches didn't match to the decals on the fenders. some white lines are painted freestyle with a white gel pen.
haven't seen a basf m1 in a long time!
BASF tapes... it is being a long time.
nice M1, i have the same kit in my stash, but i will be using other decals... i wish i can make it look as good as yours 🙂
That looks great with just a few mods. Even the colour scheme looks ok. How did you do the door panels?
The paintings on the sides and the upholstery give it the one of a kind look and doesn't make it that bad as the kit is😉
Yeah the stance of the Wheels gives this 2CV a very mean Look. Plus that paintjob it has almost a hotroddisch aperance. Very cool!
Thaks Mates 🙂
All the "Graphics" are made with a golden gel-pen
Like the serious color. You don't even think about a hurricane under the hood. Nice, sweet, clean ride.
Those are nice wheels, have you altered them ?
Thank you Christian, Thanks Nigel.
Most the wheels are too shiny in the kit. i rub them with a "Schleifvlies-Pad" (abrasive fleece?) like this one:
I got it from a bodyshop and use only the finest (about 800 grain). it takes the shine and you can regulate the look, how old and used the tire should look
found a picture from the interior
Nice tip on the wheels - the paint looks great and your interior is very well done! (I own a convertible in 1/1 scale)
Thanks Christian and Brian!
@Brian: lucky man 😉

I built one of these long ago to duplicate my buddy's Challenger.

excellent job, details and specially paintjob on those flames

Thanks mates, much appreciated
Nice interior, great to see a van actually kitted out inside.
A masterpiece with the airbrushed flames and tons of details!
Thank you very much Chris, and Chaz of course
Wow that paintjob is very impressive!
This is an awesome build! I've looked at most of your collection and love them all. Nice work.
Thank you very much!

Cool album. I remember a lot of "gifts" 😉 Maybe I'd do such an album too.
Excellent work! My personal fav is the Yellow (Ford?) with leaves all over it, and the 57(?) Chevy pickup truck (last two pics) you can't tell I'm not a car buff, can you? LOL. The Chevy truck reminds me of a song by C.W. McCall called, 'Classified':
I's thumbin' through the want ads in the Shelby County Tribune when this classified advertisement caught my eye. It said, "Take imme-di-ate delivery on this '57 Chevrolet half-ton pickup truck. Will sell or swap for a hide-a-bed and thirty-five bucks. Call One-four-oh, ring two, and ask for Bob."
Well, I called Bob up on the telephone, he says, "Hello, this is Bob speakin'." I says "This here the Bob got the pickup truck for sale?" He says, "Yeah." I says, "Where are ya?" He says, "Fourteen east on County 12, turn right on the one-lane gravel road, you can park in the yard, beware of the dog, wipe your feet off, knock three times, and bring your billfold."
Well, I tooled on east on County 12, turned right on the one-lane gravel road, and I parked in the yard and a German shepherd come out and grabbed onto my leg. Then I knocked three times and wiped my feet, the dog let go and the screen door opened and Bob come out and says "Whaddya want?" I says, "Come to see your truck." He says, "Follow me. Come on, Frank." (Dog's name is Frank.)
Well, we all went past the chicken house, through the hog pen, down to the tractor shed, and then wound up in back of the barn in a field of cowpies. And settin' right there in a pool of grease was a half-ton Chevy pickup truck with a 1960 license plate, a bumper sticker says "Vote for Dick" and Brillo box full of rusty parts, and Bob says "Whaddya think?"
Well, I kicked the tires and I got in the seat and set on a petrified apple core and found a bunch of field mice livin' in the glove compartment. He says, "Her shaft is bent and her rear end leaks, you can fix her quick with an oily rag. Use a nail as a starter; I lost the key. Don't pay no mind to that whirrin' sound. She use a little oil, but outside a' that, she's cherry."
I says, "What'll take?" He says, "What've you got?" I says, "Twenty-eight dollars and fifteen cents." He says, "You got a deal. Sign here, I'll go get the title and a can full of gas." I put the nail in the slot and fired 'er up; she coughed and belched up a bunch a' smoke and I backed her right through the hog pen into the yard
Well, Frank jumped in and bit my leg and I beat him off with a crowbar. He jumped on out and the door fell off and the left front tire went flat. I jacked it up and patched the tube and Frank tore a piece of my shirt off. Then Bob come out and called him off and says "You better'd get on out of here."
I went left on the one-lane gravel road, went fourteen west on County 12. Took two full quarts of forty-weight oil just to get her to the Conoco station. And I pulled up to the Regular pump and then Harold Sykes and his kid come out. He says, "I've seen better stuff at junkyards and where'd you ever get that truck?"
I says, "That's a long story, Harold. I's thumbin' through the want ads in the Shelby County Tribune when this classified advertisement caught my eye. It said, "Take imme-di-ate delivery on this '57 Chevrolet half-ton pickup truck. Will sell or swap for a hide-a-bed and thirty-five bucks..."
Bro, do it the same 🙂 . Those "Junkers" are always nice to look at and if some will restored, good to see how it looks before 😉
Tom, :-D ...carguy or not - same hobby! The yellow is a 57 BelAir, the Pickup is a chevy. 55? Cameo.
i have to search for this song.
