My decals have worked well and I'm pleased with the results. Time to sort out the head lights then polish the body
Finally got to add a few of my own bits to the tub. I think that'll do, as much more will not be seen.
That's it for this build, a few areas I could improve but you have to call it a day and if I do the other one in my stash I'll know what I'm doing abs would defiantly attempt to open the drivers door!
I've enjoyed this kit forts car since I was a kid. I also learnt how to use a few apps ( Inkscape, gimp and fusion 360) to a fashion and 3D printed my first bits so a whole lot of learning too. 😎
The colour combo looks very nice Sy 👍 Scratchbuilt parts look really good
Cheers @Martin, load of firsts on this but don't think it will be my last sports car 😁

I use my iPhone to take photos and they always seam to be a lot larger than most posted else where 🤔
I use my iPhone too & use the edit function to crop the shots down a little bit.

Looks great !!!
That was quick, wasn't it? 👍 Looks grand
I agree with Łukasz. Great result.
Cheers guys for kind words. Pleased with the result despite my attempts to do my best to muck it up 🙂
But all in all this is finished
Stunning looking paint scheme 👍

I have the build instructions but no longer have the separate paint/decal guide 🙁

I'm now calling this little piece done. It was an enjoyable out of the bag kit, although I should have done a little more research on the placement of markings as the instructions were quite vague but now I know for my future 1/48 kits 🙂
Very nice 👍
Sy congrats, lovely 109 there.😎
A nice little gem 👍 Congrats!
Thanks guys enjoyed my first group build looking forward more group builds 👍

Amazing level of detail, complemented by great painting
Don't know what I've done to upset this kit but it's fighting me every way.
Not a lot seams to be fitting, hence a lot of filling sanding etc
It probably isn't you mate, I had no end of problems with it.
Your's is look good so far.
Cheers 'gorbygould' it's always nice to hear others have had similar issue, does restore a little faith in ones- self
Getting in with the fun part the paint
Right it's me , must be as decals normally work great but having issue with the roundels, they go fine for 90% but some of the edges curl bunch leaving ridges once dry. Can't smooth out when wet as v v thin with the micro sol. Gues I know where chipping going to be, just hope the side roundels work better as can't chip canvas 🙂
Yep confirmed it's me messing the decals up. In the past I've got away flooding decals with micro sol but not this time as can be seen on wing. Use a little on the sides and decals worked fine. You live n learn
G'day SB, That's an outstanding build and diorama. If it fought you; then it's plain to see you fought back just as hard. A tremendous outcome. I've just received the 'latest' Airfix Hurricane Mk 1. I hope it's not from a tooling that's been churning them out since the 80s... Cheers, to your hard work! raafbloke
Excellent job. It looks like you won in the end. It certainly turned out better than mine.
Thanks @Bill Halliwell, @gorbygould appreciate your comments and @gorbygould you flatter me as your version and dio are great

I really love the looks of the fine grained dusty ground.
It took a bit more of my pigments and wash than I was anticipating, lol
All´s well that ends well! 👍
Hey SB, nice kübelwagen. Great weathering and a nice touch with the dio
Even in the desert one is never alone...
As the Battle of Britain Day approaches thought I'd get round to doing a small tribute to all the pilots inc the Polish, although I doubt it will be finished for the 15th.

Going to attempt to get this finished but armour tracks just get to me and this are so painful. Give me pre formed sections or even rubber bands any day

Awesome Mig, very well done.
Did you have an trouble with the alignment and fit of the completed three-cannon assembly into the underside of the nose section? Mine just doesn't line up right and I'm trying to figure out a solution.
It was always my intention to have the gun assembly lowered for maintenance so I acutually never tried to fit it in. Not sure how far the cannons pop out, could you try fitting a portion of them sticking out after fixing the outer panels in place?
It's the same with the rear I was always going to have the engine exposed so never had to Aline the rear to the front.
Hope you find a suitable solution 👍
Veryt nice, the Mig is a fine looking aircraft and yours looks absolutely great. And i will be borrowing your idea for the base. Looks absolutely dead simple and very convincing!
Very engaging build, the presentation draws your eye right into those beautiful details.
