I know it's way down the pipeline but I have reserved a seat.

Welcome Maciej! Yeah, at my current pace this should hit late 2018, unless I move it up. LOL I am adding one project a day until I get to 50 "Ideas" in my project queue. I think I am at thirty-something now. LOL

Possibly you are at #34

Yep, at 34 right now. Up next will be??? :-D

Hmmmm, this is a possible candidate for my Aggressor GB.

Never seen the -D done as an aggressor. Looks cool! 👍

Yeah, with all of the interesting entries into the GB, I thought of this one because of exactly that thought. Might be leaning towards going with this one right now...

I agree, haven't seen any F-16B/D Aggressors out there in "Red Flagland" I know the has Navy had two-seaters for training their Instructor Adversary Pilots. It stands to reason that the USAF does as well, but I live a sheltered life so.....

Nice subject Michael 👍

I 'vote' for this one as it is a unique bird amongst unique birds. 👍

Well, I have narrowed my GB decision to this one and the Japanese F-15DJ...

Help me decide... Post here if you vote the F-16D!

I would like to say I vote for the F-16... but... (change thread...)

Nice to see a two-seater 🙂

Go for F-16! 🙂

My vote is here. 🙂

Man you got me divided... I love the F-16 (my stash shows it) but the Japanese aggressor is a must.

One thing that you have to take into account if you are going to proceed with this one. The Hasegawa Falcon, cannot be built as the one that you want to depict. As a block 30H, it has a GE F110 engine and a big mouth intake. The Hasegawa kit lacks those. You can use however your leftovers from the Tamiya C and with a bit of dryfitting you could do it.

Seems we'll be building the same kit 👍 I'll try to downgrade mine to a B. Aaaand creepy that I also thought of doing the F-15J as a secondary^^

Maciej, I had considered this as well. But I have a Hasegawa F-16C Block 30 in my stash as well:

General Dynamics F-16C Block..Japan (Hasegawa 06104, 1:48)

06104

I was thinking that might be an easy swap, and I could use the parts from this kit to make another aggressor on the Block 30 F-16C kit, as most Nellis aggressors have the PW engine for the most part... That should work, right?

Michael Phillips
Haha Daniel, great minds think alike!

F-16D 👍

Though choice but there you have it! 😄

You are halfway there Michael. The single seater has the GE exhaust, but lacks the big mouth intake. You will need it from the Tamiya kit.
16 August 2019, 21:24
Maciej Bellos
If your C boxing has the T sprue, you are all right.
16 August 2019, 21:25
Daniel
The hasegawa f-16c blk 40/50 seems to have the big mouth, just compared my spares

Michael Phillips
Thanks for the tips Maciej, F-16 blocks tend to confuse me. Small mouth, Large mouth, GE, PW, gear doors, strengthening plates... I will have to go look and see what is in the C kit.

Please go for the F-16D!!!

Thanks Patrick, that link is AWESOME! It answers pretty much any Block related F-16 question. I really appreciate you posting that!

So I have made my decision... I am going to build the F-16D.... AAAAAAAAND the F-15DJ Japanese Aggressor! 🙂

I will do the F-16D first, as it will be a considerably faster build (the Hasegawa F-16C I built a few years ago was very easy to build, if my memory serves me correct)
18 August 2019, 00:29
Patrick Hagelstein
😄 Even better choice! 👍
