george larson this is a sight to behold, I need to wait until work tomorrow with bigger monitor. I shall aspire to obtain such skills. I will do you bidding. Are you a sorcerer!? will check it out tomorrow for sure.

george larson heh, I just saw your Mr. Surfacer 500 comment and recall looking at my previous partial builds the other day.... I killed many rivets without even realizing with putty filling and sanding.
Choppa & Neuling: The build was based partially on the line drawings included with the Unicraft DB.021 Turboprop Engines. Although I didn't extend the fuselage. My thought was a production line for the new wing & nacelles was a bit more realistic for the time. Although I almost used the DB.021 engines for an Ar234c, I thought the Me262 looked better and the higher endurance turboprops might have been ideal for a night-fighter.
I swear I had a book with a similar line drawing showing a proposed Me262 turboprop, but I since I'm unable to find it, I couldn't say for sure if this was an actual project.

Choppa Nutta Thanks for taking the time to answer Nathan, for the moment I shall call this a "Cool What If" version until someone can show otherwise but either way it is a cool variant of a classic !!

David Taylor Interesting subject, the meteor was fitted out similarily.

Erik Leijdens Ow wow that's quite unique Nathan! Not the prettiest 262 design around but wow I like it. Great work
Nathan Dempsey Doh! It wasn't really THAT bad. It did require some putty and sandpaper though.

Nathan Dempsey Added a shot for the replacement of the wing mounted rocket pods. The kit one is just a basic shape. Instead of spending hours with a micro drill I just replaced the pods with a pair off my Academy Su-25 kit.
Treehugger lol @ that amodel pod Rounded off some details there.

Nathan Dempsey Found some time to finally give a coat of primer. This revealed a few spots that need some minor rework.
On a side note, it looks like my wife will be working from home for the rest of the year. Since this work area takes up my build space its likely all my big projects will be put on hold. At least I can catch up on all my 1:144 builds.
Clifford Keesler I found a bunch of 1/72 scale one for reasonable prices, so I guess if I am going to add a F-89 it will be 1/72. I found 1 1/48 but the starting bid was 70.00.
24. May, 02:34
Nathan Dempsey Well when our model shows start up again I'll keep an eye out. With a little time I can certainly find one for WAY less than $70.

Erik Leijdens I recently purchased a 1/48 one here in Holland for €20 and a couple of weeks later another one was offered for the same price.. Should I keep my eye open for another one? And then ship to the US if it doesn't costs too much
Clifford Keesler Thank you Nathan, Erik and Augie. That would be very nice. This has always been one of my favorite aircraft. ( I guess that could be because I grew up around them, as well as 100's 101's 102's and 106's.) showing my age there am I? LOL.

Augie In that case m'amigo.. you can have mine will box it with the phantom I got for ya
Clifford Keesler Thank you Augie, I cannot express how much I appericate that and you. You truly are a great friend and I don't know how I ever will repay you, but I will. I guess I should PM you and give you my new address huh.
Nathan Dempsey Started this project before the Airfix kit came out. Had a long pause when I couldn't find any ASRAAM to mount. Luckily while waiting Eduard came out with the nice Brimstone launcher and I decided to scrap my scratch built one. The work goes on...
Nathan Dempsey One of those shark mouth decals is for a Harrier I have the stash. I really haven't decided what markings I'll use for this build yet. I did have time to work on some of the ordinance today.

Tom Beighley I have something similar in my stash, following. You've got a ton of stuff in progress!

Nathan Dempsey Hi Tom & welcome Yes its almost embarrassing how many projects I have going at once, and that doesn't include my ghost projects! Right now everything has had to halt due to working from home though. Hopefully it will all start again soon!
