The first steps in painting the interior has been taken. I would have liked the color to be a bit brighter since the wash will darken it but I think that some carefully dry brushing will correct it.

Nice start on the cockpit.I feel the same,it's always a shame when all the work on the interior can't be seen.

Thanks. The detailing on these new Airfix Spitfires is very nice.
Martyn, I have used Gunze acrylics for the camouflage; H72 Dark earth, H73 Dark green, and H74 Sky. For the interior I have used a mix of Tamiya XF-3 Yellow and XF-5 Green (which turned out a bit too dark I think. Next time I'll go with Gunze H312 or Humbrol 78 ). All the fine details are painted with Vallejo acrylics and Humbrol enamels.

Wow, very nice progress Mats. Photo 14 and 15, is it pre assembled before painting or do you mask all the parts?

Thank you Christian. All the parts are just dry fitted (for the photo) and they are removed prior to painting.
