20. June at 17:46:16
Markus Antonius busy busy! are they all one scale?
20. June at 17:52:51
Augie Thanks guys :) I wouldn't say I am quick, that lot took about 6 years or so.
They are all 1:48, as it happens my last 1:72nd kit was my first project on here.
20. June at 18:50:42
Markus Antonius my last 6 years were not that productive :)
20. June at 18:53:23
Kerry Cox What has ALWAYS impressed me the most Augie is that you use a brush. !
Stunning work and a great collection girl. :) :) :)

119 Album's guys. ! Check out her work.
You will love what she can do with just a brush. !
Amazing. :)
20. June at 18:54:34
Augie Well Markus, thats not necessarily a bad thing.

Kerry, you always end up making me blush my friend. I'm quite happy with them, I do wish I could do them to your level however :)

Augie Clifford and I are doing a buddy/Group build. Open to all to join, only rule is that it has to be a harrier. Any scale or type. No time limit, just fun.

Donald Dickson II I am confused. Where are the wings???? The exhausts???? The canopy???? The hell kind of plane is this????? ;)

Looks great! LOL
05. June at 00:01:14
Augie lol thanks don :D
05. June at 01:32:38
Glenn . This must be some kind of dive bomber? Are you feeling o.k. Augie? :) Must be a bit like that soviet sub plane thing they invented? can't remember what the hell it's called... This thing.

1:72 Ushakov LPL Flying Submarine (Unicraft Models )
05. June at 02:15:43
Donald Dickson II Glenn, right??? Thats what I am talking about. I thought I knew most planes out there. This one though...
05. June at 02:22:41
Glenn . So did this this thing fly o.k. or just sink! weird idea. Can't imagine how you would stop water getting into the engines?
05. June at 02:24:42
Michael Hickey Nicely done Augie.
05. June at 06:19:09
Łukasz Gliński @Don&Glenn - the Wiki says:
"The engines were supposed to be sealed shut by metal plates while under water. The flying submarine was supposed to house six hermetically sealed chambers in its hull and wings: Three chambers to hermetically seal the three aircraft engines (AM-34; 1000 HP; while starting 1200 HP, using the turbo compressor), as well as the hermetically sealed pilot's chamber, a chamber for the accumulator and another one for the electric engine. All the other empty spaces of the aircraft were supposed to be filled with water while submerging."
I was also surprised anybody tried to introduce it :)
Nice sub btw., looks GREAT ;)
05. June at 08:50:40
Augie Thanks guys, not quite finished yet the sail needs dome work as do the stuff on it.

31. May at 19:05:14
Clifford Keesler The Trumpeter 1/32 Mig-15 and 17's are pretty nice kits, especially for 18.00 dollars U.S.
01. June at 00:40:49

31. May at 18:07:01
Augie Ebay :) decals are shot to shit but for £20 couldnt argue
31. May at 19:06:34
Clifford Keesler Yea I have wanted that one for along time. You should be able to find aftermarket decals easily.
01. June at 00:38:56
Augie I will keep my eyes out for another for ya.
Decals should be, but I want USN markings for it.
01. June at 01:07:05
Clifford Keesler Ah, you are going to a Navy bird cool. What was the Naval deseganiton for the B-24, I know the B-25 was a PBJ-1 which is what my next B-25 will be.
03. June at 01:54:27
Clifford Keesler P.s. Thanks.
03. June at 01:54:46
Augie I think they were PB4Y-1
03. June at 10:13:47
Thomas Bischoff you have the Koster conversion set into a PB4Y1? There is currently one on Ebay
03. June at 10:56:37
Wim van der Luijt Great find, I like the heavies in 1:48 but have to figure out were to put them first
03. June at 14:01:10
Augie Hi thomas, i dont but think there were few earky ones that had original turret :)
03. June at 15:48:58
Thomas Bischoff indeed there are a few - I flipped through Naval Fighters vol 105 and found a handful in tri-colour camo and one very worn out white one. There's even one with sharkteeth and one with noseart
04. June at 20:49:31
Clifford Keesler I have seen the one with the shark mouth. cool looking plane.

Augie Lol of course, i have 3 or i can do a 2 seater
31. May at 19:04:38
Clifford Keesler I started the AV-8A. Using Airfix's PE set on it. LOL. I got the instrument panel painted. Had to give the sprues a bath, they were covered in mold release. It was brand new, had never even had the outside wrapper removed. I will re-scribe it of course.
01. June at 00:44:01
Augie hehe I didnt with mine I converted to gr1 spec.. the next I am not sure about re-scribing either, I think it looks just as good with the lines.
01. June at 01:06:20
Clifford Keesler Mine is all re-scribed, will put up some picture tomorrow. I don't know if I will re-scribe the "B" model. I have the Monogram and Hasegawa ones.

Augie Wings are going together, fit is very good all things considered. You need to be careful, check fit check fit before gluing but otherwise no real dramas. I've had far more issues with airfix kits in the past.

09. April at 13:05:00
Clifford Keesler I hope mine go good, have heard a lot of horror stories about those kits.
10. April at 00:25:32
Augie Roden are fairly typical short run, but with care and plenty of dry fitting they are ok.
10. April at 00:53:37
Michael Hickey I heard the canopy is the real killer, I think that's why I have hesitated starting any of mine. The rest should be pretty good. When are you going to start her, as she is not exactly on the small side. ;)
