The paints on the heli is not yet hardened and we see colored parts on the next project. Full steam as always 👍
Do you not separate the control surfaces?
31 August 2020, 19:16
Bernhard Schrock
Indeed full steam thanks "red Superzündi"🙂. Control surfaces: I discovered an excellent walkaround and I'm stunned to see that the fins and elevators were covered with ONE / common !! piece of fabric. The same situation on the wings and ruder. Because of that I decided to leave the control surfaces on the rest. largescaleplanes.com/walkaround/wk.php?wid=157

Definitely not a Tomcat😉 But a lovely hi-viz pattern - will check IN & follow!

I see the upgrades & engineering solutions have already started gathering around the build! 👍

Nice project and it looks like it's progressing very fast!

Nice work! Do you plan to use all the new Eduard PE sets? Brassin wheels are also released. The Airfix rigging PE set seems to be also very realistic due to the flat bars.

Stimmt! Meine Lösung war nicht so einfach... 🙂

Ich werde mich hier mal niederlassen und versuchen zu lernen und was mitzunehmen für den Wold Cruiser, was Verspannung und Ösen etc angeht.

Bernhard Schrock
Hi Daniel. Willkommen.

personally...i make it a point NEVER to build something Bernhard has done....it would only depress me...how can anyone be that good?

The Douglas plane is in the stash but that's it....

What a beautiful red ! Your windscreens are a vast improvement compared to the kitparts 👍

I am trying to figure out exactly how you did the windshield.

Clear acetate was cut and hinged and then an imprinted frame put on it?
12 September 2020, 17:46
Bernhard Schrock
Lochsa_River: Pvc about 0,3 mm thick. Self adhesive aluminum foil strips. See last pictures.

Excellent job on the windshields... 👍 And all the rest too - amazing how you manage to add so much scratch material and keep the whole thing so clean...

No mothballs needed for this moth, on the contrary ! What a beautiful insect this is. Is the pe for rigging your homemade stuff or kitparts ?
Steering rods look very authentic !
20 September 2020, 18:57
Bernhard Schrock
Thank you bughunter, Daniel and Hanno. I'm glad that you like my Tiger Moth. The PE - parts are from self created rigging sheet (Neusilber). I used 0,3 mm wide strips.

simply excellent.wow.

Beautiful job and a super-inspiring display how far one can go with the Airfix kit... Really captures the "simple & calm beauty of flight" message the Tiger Moth communicates every time I see a picture or video of it.

May not have the complexity of exposed helo rotors & interiors, but you cut it so precise it calls out of the photos just like the real plane. Top notch & beautiful subject! 👍

Awesome...

Next to all that has been said, there's another thing that I absolutely adore: no weathering. The plane looks brand new and that's somehow making it even more impressive.
Add any number of superlatives here... 🙂
