Nice painting 👍
Thanks Cuajete! In the meantime I finished decal work. As some fellow modeller's have already noted the decals of this kit are very thin. So it's best to slide them from the paper directly onto the model surface. Otherwise they will curl up.
Coming out nicely, Bernd! 👍
Thanks Ricardo! There was a minor set back, though - when I confused ultra thin plastic cement with decal soft. Luckily the decal could be saved as described in the picture.
Looking really good 👍

I've seen the same Sign today.
Strange we haven't meet Bernd. 🙂
Did you also visit the Hamburg Harbor Birthday yesterday?
Yes, I also took pictures.
I will upload them today.
The lost tool Haha, this would make a perfect poster for human factors training!!!!!!!!!!!! 😄
I think that's also in some way the purpose why they have put it up on board of the H.M.S. Defender.
Yes, it's about FOD (Foreign Object Damage) prevention.
I've uploaded more pictures from the harbour brithday at my profile.
I converted a 1:87 scale Rietze model to depict my parent's family car that they are still driving after 30 years. Made a nice Xmas present 🙂

That's an airfix?!!! Whoa! Marvelous little thing! Well done Bernd!
I'm with you and Mark. I think it's also more rewarding to bring this oldies to today standarts, than do one new kit OOB.
Great work on this beauty 👍
A real shooting star - it looks great Bernd!
The "nice" thing is - some modern kits are as demanding as these old gems 😄 For example Sword's Gannet AEW.3 that I'm currently working on. It's a good kit in and of itself. But still much room for improvement.
I agree with Bernd 👍

What is your opinion of this set? It certainly looks very nice.
Hello Mark! The parts look very nice! Of course, I don't know how they fit yet. But I'm already happy to have the set as I searched for the old Obscureco CF-100 detail set for years without success. So I was quite thrilled when I saw this new set existed.
Good to know - I will have to see about getting a set, then.

Fantastic job 👍
Thanks guys! I have to admit the B-Wing looks good in the display cabinet - but that's only its temporary home till I'll be able to give it to my brother (what a pity 😄).
Cracking project Bernd, I wish I'd picked one up now! Lovely finishing on it. Thanks for sharing!
Very nice build. Super weathering! Well done.
Something I missed until today. Very nice result!

Not real a question of choice in my opinion🙂
There is enough space on the wall
Enough space on the wall for the pics, Daniel? 😛
Yap, and those frames all come with an option for wallmounting 🙂
The kits do not....
Yeah, well. I'm more than happy that - apart from the models in the display cabinet - two nice aviation themed prints by Romain Hugault have already made their way on our living room's walls. I guess I don't want to push my luck too much...😄

Made in China gekauft mind. doppelt gekauft...🙂
Sieht absolut top aus und die Fotos sind ein Knaller....
Die Shackleton sieht live bestimmt noch viel eindrucksvoller aus👍
Just saw that a picture of your build was included in the August issue of Airfix Model World!
Yes, I was lucky enough that they printed my photo that I had sent in 🙂
Congratulations and again a beautiful build.

I find most magazines disappointing.
I do not often build planes, being a tank builder, so I read SMMI for military tank builds. But I know that they also have an aviation series, Scale Aviation Modeller International, so that should interest you. But I don't seem to get to the Sam Publications server today.
Thanks, Stefen, SAMI is indeed on my "to choose from" list.
The pro's from SMMI are the variety of articles, the part with new products and a factsfile about a vehicle type. The cons are the steeply risen price (+4 euro in a few years, though you got more pages) and being a grammar nazi I often find mistakes like its/it's or then/than, even in the articles from the native speakers. And once in a while I find a page spread of somebody that didn't sand his roadwheel mold seams. What I would like to see more, are conversion builds like the tracked radar vehicle that featured last year, it's mostly 90% out of the box and then it soon sounds repetitive.
I know what you mean, Steven! I guess it's very difficult to write articles that don't sound repetitive when the techniques you're using are more or less the same.
