Congratulations. I like the finish. It looks like a car not a bubble.

Hi some details (watch some plasmo videos on YouTube he has great tricks)

Body prepped and primed with Mr. Surfacer 1500
Painted with Tamiya LP-11 with their orange cap retarder lacquer thinner,
Fix your mistakes over and over
Covered with Mr Hobby UV gloss GX-112 I think with Mr Levelling thinner, around 4 coats
Sand lightly with Tamiya 3000 sponge
Polish with Tamiya polishing compounds and cotton pads for face cleaning
Mask and paint LP semi-gloss black areas
Touch up with Vallejo black diluted with water

I did the interior with semi gloss black and masked the leather areas off. Diluted PVA with water and brushed everywhere. Used embossing powder (black) for the carpet. It worked perfectly well!

This was my first time doing a car in 30 years and I'm very happy with it. Not perfect but pretty close🙂 I want to do more cars now and the process will help my
AFVs and definitely metallic jets/planes.

Thanks for the likes and compliments!!

Also the turbo is a little metal decal included in the kit with some highly reflective mirrors too. It's a nice old kit!

perfect! You are officially a car modeler whether you like it or not. What's your lighting setup?

What kind of embossing powder did you use? How did you mask the wheels to paint?

Thanks Jimmy! This time I used a Relio lighting setup instead of flash guns. Embossing powder, I'm not sure if the brand. I just picked up some black powder from a store here in the UK called hobbycraft just sprinkled over diluted PVA. To mask the wheels I just cut strips of Tamiya tape roughly over 1/4" wide and placed them round and round. I used acrylic ink to safely fill in the grooves that go between the central semigloss black spokes and the chrome rim. I also used this ink for the panel lines. It's safer and easier to clean up than oil/enamel based panel line formulas.
