Still here mates. Just can not find any time for my beloved Hobby lately by force of circumstances 🙄
feels like some kind of cold turkey 😵💫
That's beautiful! Excellent colour choice 👍 one of my dads car dealer friends had one back in the day, he used to pick me up from school in it, coolest thing on the road 😎
Thanks Munky 👍🏽 My dad had a „regular" 2002ti in metallic red. It was stolen by some a..holes. Police found it some days later: completely stripped and burned…
that sucks Dennis, way too many a..holes about.

Looks great! Typical super clean Dennis craftsmanship ?
Thanks 👍 Right now rear lights giving me some headache and I guess I have to make compromises… we will see…
Thanks guys 👍
very smart dude, as always ??

That's funny. My uncle's best friend was Armin Schwarz. So as a teenager I would always hang out at his garage. And we were at almost every Rallye in Germany where Armin was racing.
At that time I had the pleasure to be passenger in his private Audi S1 which he sold later on and also in his Stratos.
I know he sold the Audi, not sure if he still owns the Stratos.
What I know for sure is that he has one of the former Lancia S4's.
amazin! i want one lol or a hawk or Lb replica, real ones of any of these cars are just dreams unfortunately 🙁 my brother is building a 700bhp evo 5 tho, which whilst not a historic legend will still be much fun 🙂
buy an mfh kit dennis, be worth every penny, there's a shop here in blighty that sells them at reasonble-ish prices, hiroboy.co.uk i think.
@Dennis. Thanks! Looks really good/realistic on the car and really brings it to life! It was one of the 1st things that 'popped' out when I see the engine bay/rad area
my father once too meet mr. Schwarz at a Rallye
Event. Decent guy… guess the world was small in Motorsport back in the days.
My sister became even a bigger petrol head then me and luckily I get my hands on her cayman frequently 😄
At spotmodel you will find MFH kits for very decent pricing. Maybe I'll lurk a little longer… just a little bit…
Is hiroboy shipping to Europe again? Unfortunately they stopped for some time for some reasons…
Thanks brian 👍 That is one very „important" detail to the engine compartment and it was no big deal to add. Looks very empty without it.

Watching! My favourite Group B car!
Thanks Mate! Grab one too and start building😉 Kit is quite good. Only downside is that one has to clean up every single part of this Kit (seems like i am getting too used to Tamiya Kits o-0)
Those cars (last picture) were so sick - in a good meaning 😉 Crazy cars, crazy people that time.
Actually the only group B Spec Car with a non Turbo charged 6 Cylinder Engine. Thus no Turbo lag but had to pack more weight by means of group B regulations.
Great build Dennis. Love it.
Quite the detailed kit.
That Mobil1 decal on the grille looks like it was fun...
Great detailwork Dennis
Luckily the Mobil logo was splittet in five parts already but alignment was kind of a thrill.

Thats the way it goes: put a "hobby specific" label on your product and milk the cust... err, cow 😉
Sorry for the continued highjack Dennis.
Do I understand correct Alex: The thinner makes the Zero Paints too hot. Does that apply for the 2K gloss as well? And would replacing the ZP thinner with Mr Self levelling thinner solve that (in the 2K)?
And would it be possible to use the 2K gloss as a primer, with the Mr SLT?
No problem Martin. This very interesting for me as well. So please feel free.
I was talking about generic 2K stuff from eBay where the thinner is too hot for Polyester plastic. I do believe the guys from ZP did their homework and already made sure the thinners are applicable for it. I personally worked just once with ZP (on my Mercedes SLR) and had no problems whatsoever, neither the basepaints over Tamiya Primer, nor the 2K clear over it. I am pretty sure tho you can use Leveling Thinner as replacement, just give it a try if you had any problems with the ZP thinner being "too hot"
In theory you can use 2K gloss as a primer, if you want a layer between the plastic and the subsequent layers of paint. Just make sure the thinner is not too hot since you are applying it directly on the plastic and sand the glossy surface after that. Other than that it is chemically the same stuff as the 2K primer with the difference that it is transparent and has a bit less of filling properties.
👍 Clear and to the point answers, Quick too!

So lovely, beautiful finish👍 Built one too 10 years ago (also this color) Vividly remember the pain in the a** with the rear wing/hood transition.
Thank you. To be honest: I've found your build on modellversium and used it as a reverence 😉
Onther strange thing on this Kit: there is a fitting issue between Body and Chassis. When fittet together, Body sits like 1,5mm to far ahead. That way wheels and inner wheelarches ar also to far ahead.
You can see that, especially on the rear inner wheelarches, on almost every build kit you find pictures of in the web.
Could not figure out where the problem is. First i thought about the exhaust but there is enough room for it. Maybe it is the main chassis part that does not fit properly at all...
The Chassis issue has bothered me too, you see it also clearly in the pictures on my MV article.
BTW, what kind of clear coat did you use?
Lets hope we see an up to date Kit of the 959 in the future.
Ah, Clear Cote:
I tried something new by using Gunze Mr. Super Clear applied directly from the Rattlecan.
Works as well as Tamiya Sprays but is very "mild" compared to Tamiya TS-13 and will not eat up decals.
Came out very smooth with almost no orange peal (special tip: shake well and put the rattlecan in warm water for a couple of minutes before use).
Mr super clear is softer then 2k Clear when dried up so one have to be a bit more careful when polishing.
Thanks, the paintjob looks absolutely magnificent👍

That's beautiful! The black finish you did is perfect. I built the 1953 version of this kit... 1953 Jaguar | Album by uhrwerk (1:32)
Beautiful. The lustre of the paintwork is so deep, I want to dive in!
Agree. And those whitewalls!
Thanks mates! Whitewalls and tyres are separate Parts. And those whitewalls are moulded in white. Makes live a bit easier.
Die Eleganz des Autos findet sich im Modell voll wieder. Just beautiful!
Love the depth of colour - great finish and superb detail on that engine. Gorgeous.
That paintjob is awesome!
Another favorite. I do have to get one of those
