Thanks mates ! I had some serious issues with the Alclad stuff due to lack of experience and - patience.
So I will give it a week or so to fully cure before I will apply some wash and decals.

Finished Result . I benefitted some precious experience with Alclad paints, and the most prominent was : Give the primer enough time to cure,
because otherwise it doesn't cure at all...... Had to sand and respray the nose about 5 times because the metal paint stayed very vulnerable
to fingerprints, even when wearing gloves....

Alclad certainly has it's own fussy ways hey. !! Either do it right or forget it is the go Hanno, you have become quite the expert with it now. Wonderful stuff mate. 🙂

Alclad stay's vulnerable, I don't know whether an alclad lacquer over it would change the result/brightness of the metal...

@Ben: did you have a look at the Video Choppa posted above ? The ship is from a Japanese animation series
called Last Exile. The whole thing has quite a steampunky feel to it, with flying pre WW1 type battleships and so on. Well worth a closer look !

Hanno, I do believe that the 'finish' the alclad has will not be 'dimmed' if you use their clear lacquer.
I would make it as thin as possible. 🙂

Das kam vom Sockelshop, war aber das letzte seiner Art dort. Anscheinend war die Auflage limitiert. Die Basis dafür ist dieser Bausatz : modellbau-koenig.de/..pa__i440_32204_0.htm. Christian Meyerhoff hat sich den gerade zugelegt, vielleicht gibt er sene Quelle preis..... 🙂
