Not a bad looking rig!

Curtis, the steering wheel is on the wrong side and no bugs on the bumper. Otherwise, nice job!

Alexander Grivonev
Well, that looks certainly aerodynamic!

Peter...you silly aussie!

Thank you Timothy Heath, Timothy Heimer, Peter Hardy and Alexander G. Yes I chose to do the Mobius American style vs. a Airfix kit with the steering wheel on the "wrong" side! LOL Wanted to do something more modern after my last one a 1976 American Bicentennial of all things. Be well my Scalemate friends.

Curtis beautiful rig. Could share with us a mini review as in difficulty level and any fitment issues?

It is a little hard to see with the smaller photos, but the chrome parts looks great I think.

Szilard Tevald
Looks great! The hood doesn't fit well?

DAMN ! P-MAN ! That's some of your best work right there, makes me want to pull it over for a closer look ! GREAT JOB !

Szilard, truck bonnets need flex space because of the chassis flex. They usually have about 20 to 40 mm gap. Usually.

Thanks guys. Building trucks is harder with the axels not being quite up to the weight of the rubber wheels. Sometimes a model can flex or move from the weight of the heavy double tires and tandem axels. I do not usually glue hoods, wheels, axels and doors if the instructions call for them to open but I am starting to change my mind. One scalemate said never leave wheels unglued as they can roll off the judge's tables! LOL. I have several models where fitment is bad on the hoods like my resin cast models and the one I remember being pointed out to me was the Jeep Cherokee. I try to be careful with the chrome to scrape for gluing and touch up all scrapes. Most recently I started using the Moltow paint pens. They are great for touch ups. I want to thank Bill, Treehugger, Szilard, Robert and Peter for commenting.

That is a fine looking rig. One thing you do if you want the wheels to spin is make a small tire chock to place on the inside rear tires. It would be hidden and keep the rig from rolling off the table. That would be no good.

Hey Curtis, I want to test your memory. I have a Kenworth w/ the log trailer, a Peterbilt cab over w/the Watkins reefer, and a GMC w/ a hog trailer. What have I done??

Thanks you gents for the catch-up... yeah a decade before my time 😛 Sounds like a fun movie.

Tim, start at dawn on a frosty morn, with a Kenny hauling logs, then do a Cabover Peterbuilt with a fridge van followed by a GM dragging a four deck crate.

Chris , you won't like the movie, dated very badly. As did Green Machine. I loved that movie and tried to watch it again last year, lasted about ten minutes!

Curtis, more trucks please!

Correction... I am watching now. 🙂

Well guys especially Tim Peter and Chris you were entertaining and informative. I am working on an International Paymaster 5000 truck at present. Good 'ol AMT kit with only one paint color specified and that is that the International engine should be "medium metallic blue",
17 May 2019, 17:11
Tim Heimer
I only know the old CAT and Cummins colors, interesting that Internationals have a metallic blue one! Thanks Curtis! Keep up the good work!

Tim I'm down to the final decals and red lights on the cement mixer. Engine looks great! LOL. The big trucks are interesting in that there are so many options.
