Nikolaos Kouzinis This is a very good and exuberand kit . I made one and I celebrated it
15. February 2018 at 18:07:35
Alexander G. This is actually going to be a new tooling by Trumpeter, not the old Esci kit!
15. February 2018 at 18:39:10
CharlesBronson Trumpeter have tons of new kits and new tooling, not like Italeri....just old kits and reboxing of old kits...

Alexander G. Thanks mates,

Jiri, it is completely OOB! Clear part also from box
1. December 2018 at 09:34:02
Łukasz Gliński Very cool weekend build, I have to try this methodology one day ;)
Yeap, the HB canopies used to be very clear, though not very thin.
2. January at 11:30:14
Alexander G. It is my first HB airplane, so i can't say too much about that but the canopy was indeed surprizingly thin and clear given that this is "only" a "snap kit". A quick OOB build once in a while doesn't do any harm and this is surely not my last one!
2. January at 18:04:41
VRWobst Wow, this is fantastic. You're a terrific modeler.

Guy Rump Great colour scheme Alex :)
9. February at 17:40:12
Alexander G. Thx Guy! I orientated myself as much as it was possible on pictures of the original, I think it is a typical example of a late-war beat up and overpainted 109 with replaced panels/rudder in different colors. I included pictures of the original.
10. February at 14:16:46
Guy Rump I see what you mean, your model is incredibly similar to the one in the photo. I can only hope that I model (and paint) something as good as this in the future!
10. February at 17:13:47
Neuling Top job. Greetings from the home of the Me 109. Was this one also built in Regensburg?
10. February at 19:24:52
Olivier Very fine result !
10. February at 19:29:13
Alexander G. I can't answer you that question, Neuling. My knowledge of the production history of the 109 is rather poor but I am sure there are experts around here who can track down the origin of this bird! The "Werksnummer" is 130297 btw.
10. February at 19:30:55
Guy Rump Messerschmitt Bf 109G-10/R3, Werk # 130297 10./J.G. 51, On the 4th of May around 3pm a Messerschmitt Bf 109G marked "Yellow 5" landed at the Bulltofta airfield outside Malmoe in the south of Sweden. It was flown by Oberfeldwebel Horst Walter Petzschler from Jagdgeschwader 51, also called Geschwader Mölders. His unit, the 10thstaffel, was based at a temporary airstrip in the west of East Prussia, near Danzig.

Alexander G. Hi M M, glad You liked it!

This transfer glue is basically double sided tape where the "sticky part" between the two layers of release paper is more "liquid" and glue like than in normal double sided tape. Just like with the latter you cut it in strips of your desired size and apply. E.g. for the windshield i cut it into strips, apply them on the windshield edges, pull off the release paper and install the windshield. I hope this helps

7. January at 18:15:09

( , )

and a wooden base, some plaster, grass, earth from railway modeling, that kind of stuff. Don't have a WIP on it though
