I'm slightly confused then 🙂
I thought the black and white bit was the preshade and the colour modulation
was the bit you added after this to get the different base hues etc.

Or is this different to preshading because you are creating what special FX
might call a radiosity bake to emulate where the light falls etc. ?

The special about this is that the color actually Panzer Grey 😄 Vallejo modulation set that is.
