So……I didn’t look at reference pictures or read the instructions that told me to mix the sand colour and white paint. This is not the right colour tone, but I am building this for my son and he isn’t going to care.

Thank you. I have to be honest, this was not an expensive model and I had my doubts about the raised panel lines and some of the fitting so I just had fun with the paint. Possibly over weathered but all good practice.

Ok, confession time. This was a cheap gift set that came with paints. I didn't look at the instructions that said to mix the Sand paint with the White to get the right colour. I thought it looked too dark so mixed up the lighter colour and covered the main parts of the panels. After decaling I gave it another light coat to "Sun bleach" the markings. So by correcting the wrong colour it's actually given the finished model more depth and nice weathering.
