Beautiful result, interesting to watch you bring an ancient kit to an up to date model. I started to use clear resin to fill windows in kits too but found regular Cella Tape to be sufficient.

Nice subject, very nice painting. I love the way you display the model with a home made stand.

Sérgio: I figures it isn't worth the effort in 1/144 scale, especially without a set of pre-cut masks.
Benoit: Thank you! I mount the post and socket at a 3 degree angle, so that I can display the airplane in level flight or, by turning the stand around, at 6 degrees nose-up.

Since it is certainly not the best kit ever, the results you achieved are even more impressive!! It looks fantastic!

PanAm 707. Iconic and hard to beat. All your work on the metal part paid off. You caught the spirit of that plane.

Treehugger: The detail on the deck is excellent and the entire assembly fit like a glove. I don't think an aftermarket deck is needed, and may be more trouble than it's worth.

I can also imagine how the packaging and shipping of such one-deck-PE might be a nightmare so to speak, easily bent and dented. I wonder what the packaging looks like for the BigBlueBoy set. Though, it makes sense that they would want to make larger PE with a thicker material perhaps.
