Ray SeppalaSure do Michael, there is some lead under the cockpit and in the weapons bay area and then I added some in the nose as I did not have enough in the first 2 places. I used about triple the recommended weight.

Kerry COXWill this have Australian markings Ray. ?
But do we have this one or, am I mistaken. ?

Ray SeppalaThis will be a USN aircraft Kerry, only the USN operated this version with the 'billboard' radar. Australian P-3s were straight B and C models. Mine will be in this scheme:

GlennNice job Ray, That's the same c/s i will do too! I prefer these markings over the older white/grey scheme. I wanna do a P-3 in the CoNA WWII Catalina blue/grey scheme too. And maybe one of those special "Black CIA" P-3's as well. 🙂

Ray SeppalaThanks Glenn, there was a bit of fiddling with the tail markings ( from a 1/48 Hornet sheet). I think Hasegawa are releasing one of the CoNA P-3s soon.

DutchRay, Very nicely done indeed! I missed the in progress build notes. What was the significance of the different spacing on the VX-30 tail logo? One was kit supplied and one was custom or aftermarket? R/ Dutch

Ray SeppalaThanks all, @Dutch, the decal I used was for a 1/48 Hornet and the spacing of the VX-30 titling under the logo was too wide for the P-3 so I had to cut it down.
