Further painting and wash
Further painting and wash
Some drybrush
Some more paint
Black parts need to be removed and replaced by a flat plate
How it should be
buy altering inlets, old gluejoints still need some cleaning
Opened up the recesses and added some chamfers
Scraped away some maerial at the tail so that the PE-part can have a flush fit
Like this
More scraping at the cockpitside for PE-plates in the area of the gun
added the plates at the sides of the cockpit
in doubt of which camo
in doubt of which camo
real part

not that much progress, but I did a lot of sanding and scraping to ensure that the PE-part will be mounted flush

in doubt about the camo shemes. first thought of a roll-out version (bare composite and metal, with some prepainted camouflaged parts), but that was another version with the round nose (SU-33UB). So I added two colorplates off full camoed versions. Opinions are welcome

the 3-tone blue looks the best, there is something not right on the first, i can't tell what but it doesn't feel right

thx Germen, think it will be that version too... otherwise I would need to replace the whole stinger between the engines. Been busy fiddling with the front wheelcover lately, not completely there yet, but ... And also the Northstar engines have arrived... very nice parts... will take my time to search how to paint, glue/solder this gem, just to do it it's right...

Hi Bart, I think with the AKAN colors you're 100% on the safe side, because of the processing Martien has already written much about it at his MiG 21 dukmodell.com/Farben..Su-30MKI::12404.html , when it comes to Russian colors, I would rely on Russian manufacturer 😄
