Roland Sachsenhofer Fuselage halves have been closed on both Lansen today- hard work on the Tarangus-version because of the bad fit. But I think they will look quite impressive- and the Lansen is a rather huge airplane, by the way!

Michael Phillips I am in! Very nice work so far, that cockpit looks great!
7. December 2018 at 21:24:50
Stefan Fraundorfer I'm in too. Is the Lansen for "Northern Skies"?
7. December 2018 at 21:53:44
Daniel Klink The human Scale Factory Roland starts the next one..
Watching!
7. December 2018 at 22:15:12
Roland Sachsenhofer Thank you mates! Indeed, this double is intended to fly under the label "Northern Skies, Stefan!
"Human Scale factory"..... how appealing! :)

A few new pictures- the Tarangus -Lansen will need a lot of sanding...
8. December 2018 at 15:09:51
Daniel Klink High-QUality scale factory was meant of course ;)
8. December 2018 at 15:23:05
Roland Sachsenhofer Modest as I am I supposed so...... :) Indeed, I like that description, Daniel!

Lode Schildermans Roland, I think the PE specialists design their upgrades especially for you. It is always so close to perfection
10. December 2018 at 22:55:05
Stephan Ryll Very nice Progress so far
11. December 2018 at 17:32:50
Roland Sachsenhofer Thank you very much Lode and Stephan! Lode, I enjoy your words all the more as I adore your detailing skills displayed on your big Royal Navy ships!
11. December 2018 at 20:21:14
Roland Sachsenhofer A few construction steps further, a first coat of "Alclad White Aluminum" has now been applied after priming with glossy black. The blue band behind the radome indicates the squadron.
20. December 2018 at 18:35:41
Roland Sachsenhofer No spectacular step- but the upper side of Lansen A is ready for preshading by now!
26. December 2018 at 20:16:31
Roland Sachsenhofer Preshading and prelighting has been done- this time with yellow, which should prepare a nice base for the olive-green which will follow.
27. December 2018 at 09:35:02
Roland Sachsenhofer The surface colors are applied and the outer skin is glossy, ready for the decals
29. December 2018 at 18:58:45
Bart Goesaert nice painting so far...

Roland Sachsenhofer Thank you Bart!

Lode Schildermans Looking crispy, as always. Great paintwork
4. January at 20:59:13
Roland Sachsenhofer Thank you for your most welcome words, Lode!
5. January at 09:36:54
Holger Kranich Die Sitzgurte machen aber mächtig was her!
5. January at 09:39:52
Roland Sachsenhofer Ja, Maestro Models haben sich da nicht lumpen lassen :)
5. January at 09:42:49
Roland Sachsenhofer The fitting of the poorly fitting cockpit parts required some more reworking - including sanding "down to the bone" and an airbrush session on the advanced model. Tricky work on the nearly finished surfaces...
6. January at 19:32:08
Lode Schildermans Roland, frankly, I don't see the effort you made, what proves the quality of your work. Top
6. January at 21:29:22
Bernd Korte Very nice!
6. January at 21:34:30
Bart Goesaert Nicely solved...
7. January at 07:34:21
Roland Sachsenhofer Thank you!
Lode, the comparison of the two kits was quite interesting. What Tarangus delivers is really "short run" -for the money of a premium kit by the way.
The accuracy of fit is.... in some parts a little bit coarse and the degree of detail lets a lot of air up :)
This double build is in any case a lot of fun - both kits are already recommended here.
7. January at 07:42:01
Maciej Bellos Excellent Result Roland!
13. January at 06:51:48
Roland Sachsenhofer Now the second "Lansen" project has come to a good end! The "Attack" version of Tarangus is in comparison with the Hobby-Boss offer clearly a "short-run" kit with some highs and all lows.
But the original is worth it to be converted into an ambitious model.
In this context I can really recommend the etched parts from Maestro Models, also the FODs as well as the entry ladders come from this source.
Thank you for your interest and comments - I hope you like the pictures!
13. January at 06:59:27
Bernd Korte Again, I love it! Looks very sleek and reminds me of my visit to the Swedish Air Force Museum Last summer.
13. January at 08:13:56
Christian Ristits You are a Master Roland, what a beautiful pair! Btw, your painting on the leather and FODs is remarkable!
13. January at 08:22:03
Roland Sachsenhofer Thank you very much Maciej, Bernd and Christian!
Christian, the admiration for the colours of the etched parts/ the ladder and the FODs, I can pass on to Masestro Models :) These are pre-painted etched parts that only have to be folded and glued together.
13. January at 12:00:35
Björn Svedberg Excellent work on both Lansen, Roland!
13. January at 12:48:04
LG Christian
13. January at 19:02:29
