Here are the first pictures of this challenging project.
General fit is good- nevertheless you have to work a lot with superglue: half of the interior consists of resin or etched parts.
Construction sheet is a little bit confused....

Thank you all for your interest and commenting!
Tja, Holger, dem Inschenör is nix zu schwör...... 🙂

You can see he current state of the build, The openings for holes for the wirings have been set, as you can see on the second picture.
ext step will be gluing the upper wing and attaching the struts plus wiring- this will be done by etched parts from R+B production, simulating the aerodynamic profiles of this types wiring.

Ein neues interessantes Projekt - ich bin dabei.

"Tja, Holger, dem Inschenör is nix zu schwör......" - versteht das unser norddeutscher Freund überhaupt?

Liebe Grüße - auch an dich, Holger.

Hallo Stefan, das freut mich aber!
Ich hoffe doch 🙂
You can see my attempts to rig this beauty- R+B steel wiring have been inserted into the openings prepared on the lower wings -and then tightened till the Cyanacrylat-glue had dried.
Now on to floats and engine!

looking good, but if i can give a suggestion, i would press a little those belts against the seat... right now they look like they are holding a ghost invisible pilot😉 other than that, it is going really nice. rigging specially is really nice

Hi mates, thank you all for your very kind comments!
I got all the colors on the surfaces- Alclad White Aluminum for the "silver paint"- and I managed to apply the superb decals. These have been a pure joy to use, so even the red stripes have been made with Cartographs help.
Next step will see the gloss clear coat for the decals toned down a little bit. Having done this, engine, floats and so on can be attached.

Spanjaard, thank you for your suggestion about the "blown" seatbelts. I for myself was extremely uncertain about the real appearance of Italian-style belts with all its strange arrangement of belts and chains..... What you can see on the models seats is my interpretation of Special Hobbies instructions.
Does anybody know, how the real thing did look alike- any help will be appreciated!

those red lines look really nice.

Looking very good! The seatbelts look like the belts on the Maxicosi in my car for my daughter 😄

Great work with the rigging, looks very good👍

Brilliant work so far on this hardly ever seen bird Roland ! These angeled red stripes look pefectly symmetrical, not an easy task I presume.....
Respect !

Hanno, thank you very much indeed! Your words make me happy 🙂
Bernhard, ich habe ein Foto der RB Profile in diesen Baubericht gegeben; darauf sollten die Produktnummern hervorgehen, mit denen Du sie hoffentlich bestellen kannst.

Some more struts on the Ro.43..... and a temporarily attached spacer, which is provided in the Special Hobby kit. Attaching the main float will be difficult enough..... Only four tiny wiggly struts should hold that thing in place...... well, we will see.... 🙂

Moin Roland. Danke: nunmehr "Licht im RB Tunnel". Werde mal antesten zum Vergleich mit "meinen" Profilen aus Neusilber. Grüße Bernhard.

Dear mates, thank you!
A few but essential steps toward finishing this demanding beauty: I am happy to have successfully attached and rigged the main float. Fixing the engine was rather difficult- this kit is very "short run" till the end....
Hallo Bernhard, ich hoffe Du findest das Gewünschte bei RB- denn Du wirst wieder Wunderbares daraus machen.

Thank you Tim!
Finished at last! I supplemented the Ro.43 with several items not mentioned in the manuel but seen on the original as strutting of the exhausts, step treads on the forward pylons or further wiring on the struts.
Not being really an easy kit, I am rather glad to have tackled this beautiful seaplane- and even more glad to have finished it! I hope you like the outcome; three pictures show the trolley from CMK.

Thank you mates! I remember it as a not easy but very rewarding construction. A good characterization for many a Special Hobby kit, I think.
