Aerospatiale SA-330 "Rambo III"
The ingredients for the menu.
Wings from real Hind are too small so new ones had to be built!
Pilot seats with some extra details.
Forming the new wings from polistyrol.
Back of the cockpit panel.
Decals used for the cockpit.
Sides of the console needed some extra details.
Added some plastic and wiring.
Right side is rather clean.
Front gear was shortened a bit.
Cockpit assembly
Seats are in position.
Ready for the rest of the cabin.
New seat consoles had to be made.
Overhead panel wasn't existing. Had to be made from scratch.
Engines and gearbox painted.
I added a firewall between engines and gearbox.
Soundproofing was made from polistyrol.
Sponsons are ready for assembly.
Not much left to see from the engines.
Fitting the wings by using steel rod.
Much space is needed under the wings.
Soundproofing is painted and washed.
Fitted the plate inside the door.
Dryfitting the wings and lodout.
Base colour.
Second colour applied using patafix.
Came out too greenish. Was corrected.
Alle three colours applied.
Decals were made by a felllow modeller.
They are applied on a bed of future.
The yellow is airbrushed - the word is a decal.
After filtering and matt cote. We're getting somewhere.
The rollout is near.
Added the control-unit for the tail rotor.

Thank you all! I just loved the look of that Puma in the movie so I had to build it.
@Adrian: Sadly there's no conversion set so I had to do it all on my own.

Mhm - that could be tricky. They made a whole new "glass house" in front of the normal cockpit windows...

Now all you need is a little Rambo firing an RPG from inside the cockpit!
Fun one, thanks for sharing. 👍

Fantastic rework of an old airfix puma, love the detail in the cockpit. what do you use for the control panel wiring looms?

Hello Ice, I also became a great fan of this helicopter when I was young and now I am planing to build a 1:32 scale from revell and eventualy convert it to an electric RC flying kit.

What a cool project. Kudos for the builder and for the ones who dug it out again recently😉
