I have the impression that the colour is slightly different between trator and howitzer. Am I right ? Then which paint did you use ?

they are different but did that on purpose, since different wear and tear on units, I mixed paint myself, but later on I bought the ready mixed paint and it was very very close to what I mixed. The tractor has worn paint, the howitzer not.

Thanks. So my eyes are still ok. I am glad. Very nice diorama so far. The figures will bring it to the next level.

Rui, for snow i tried different approaches, first try was sprinkling dry chalk / plaster powder, then i tried also a mix of pva glue with white acrylic and baking powder, then i got the AK microbaloons, all wotked fine, but in the end they all need some extra tweaking, weathering and blending.

Thanks Spanjaard, figures are not my favourite, so it takes double the time to finish for me. I try to avoid figures but sometimes a DIO without figures is half empty.

I have a new project ahead which unfortunately I will have to build 9 figures in it.

Album info

The 122 mm howitzer M1938 (M-30) was a Soviet 121.92 mm (4.8 inch) howitzer. The weapon was developed by the design bureau of Motovilikha Plants, headed by F. F. Petrov, in the late 1930s, and was in production from 1939 to 1955. The M-30 saw action in World War II, mainly as a divisional artillery piece of the Red Army (RKKA). Captured guns were also employed later in the conflict by the German Wehrmacht and the Finnish Army.
