Any idea what color scheme you're going to do?

(Was hoping you'd make the Bond car.)

Bond car is still on a boat from China, estimated delivery Dec 5th-20th, so it's in my stash... just moving reeeeealy slow to the stash shelf 😛 Same with the Fairlady Z. and I'm going to use Vallejo's "Magic Blue" which is a little brighter than box art, but I usually stick to box colors, unless something in "" color sucks.

Base coat looks excellent! Nice work. Now get that clear coat on or I'm going to have a panic attack!

1 thing I hate about this project is that the instructions are 24 years old, and the color coding is different... and there were a ton to pieces that didn't have a color code at all... I ended up painted these base blue because I don't know the colors of the real life pieces... but most the pieces are hidden on the underside or in the engine bay. but so far so good. 🙂

Stuff in transit to your stash can be put in 'on order'.
I like this car. A pity you have to guess about the colours.

Ah, bummer. On one hand I like having the color codes but on the other I would like to get more creative and maybe more realism with my own color schemes. However I find that really hard so it is nice to have the codes to fall back on.

Interestingly I've started using Pinterest for ideas and examples. I'm surprised how well it works for that: pinterest.com/cohort_tom/model-references/

I guess I'm more the Lego type of car modeler... just give numbers, colors and steps to follow. Don't get me wrong, I want to make them look good... but as per the instructions.... I'm not a car guy in life, so I don't really see myself chasing down details and 'extra bits' for a model... But boy howdy, I still love the hobby and enjoy learning and getting better 🙂

I agree, a little patience and perseverance pays off in the form of a beauty of a '37 Ford !

Chris, you and Tom must be related. There is a resemblance there somewhere. Anyway, this one looks good. Well done.
