Tonight I'll start cutting the bomb bay open on the fuselage underside, just hope that the bomb bay doesn't interfere with the interior either side of it.🤔

This will be an interesting build for sure. I'm in!

I'll take a seat Michael 🙂 that beast will take a lot of paint and glue😉

Ohhh Michael, there I am, even I have not built yet, but a colleague makes during his break, the clear part of the pulpit makes some problems adjusting

You're all welcome to come along for the ride, and Jens so far the cockpit has gone together beautifully. I've dry fitted the wings to the fuselage and looks like everything there will be good. I'm yet to start cutting the fuselage for the bomb bay but will defiantly do that tonight, and tomorrow I hope to paint the cockpit.

Oh the infamous MPM 177 Greif! Have that beast at home, too. Massive wingspan. My fuselage is a bit warped but nothing that MEK cant handle. Good luck and a lot of fun on this one, Mike!

Your cockpit looks way different compared to my kit... Is there no resin in your kit?
3 July 2019, 09:58
Michael Hickey
Nope, no resin except for the gun in the nose I think. I feel short changed now.😭

Count me in - have this kit too

This will look great even without resin in the cockpit - unless you plan to make it torn open by a flak-shell, I´d say it´s homework done already 🙂

Your all welcome to grab a seat, some nuts and a beer or two. Thomas I will give you a little advice in getting the clear nose on because straight out of the box it doesn't fit. Firstly you need PAINCIENCE to get the back part of the canopy glued correctly in place, as it wants to sit slightly inside the fuselage. Glue one edge let that completely dry then carefully using CA glue, glue the other side to the fuselage. When you go to fit the clear end piece on you will realize it doesn't come close to fitting properly. First make sure you have the gun circle frame down the bottom and you will have to file away some of the bomb aiming device. Do this slowly and keep checking the fit but by filling that part down you will get a perfect fit, and remember slowly, slowly.

Fuselage halves are glued together, need to carefully put in place the two lower windows and some more details in the cockpit. I've had a little bit of bad luck with parts, the top viewing glass I have is fine but I have some how lost the ring section that it sits on. So I've started to scratch build that, I cracked the upper window on the left hand side, but worst is that I've lost the small window at the bottom front section. Oh yeah, I accidently snapped off the main cockpit panel and stupidly vacuumed it up. Tomorrow I will go through the vacuum cleaners bag and hopefully retrieve it.🙁 Apart from that this is a most enjoyable kit to build so far.🙂

Good news I found the small front lower window now time to glue it in place.🙂

Liking it!
I built this kit a few years ago, everybody I knew said it was a terrible kit....it gave me no trouble, other than the landing gear. I didn't fit the resin engines or bomb bay though. Watching with interest
