It has taken me days to get to this point, and I still need to work on the Tamiya landing gears! The fit of the struts o...

That's a super impressing trio. I like the oil and dirt stain effect on the undersides, you really made a fine job on the chipping and paint discoloring as well. The comments made it fun to follow the build.

Very nice metal indeed... There's been a few on here of late. Splendid work

Tamiya XF-19 Sky Gray. I'm not sure it's a perfect match, but I'm not sure anyone has nailed ADC gray.

I had an old music teacher who used to say "Now, make me cry" when he wanted me to play as expressively as possible, even to the point of being in bad taste. I think that's what I've done here! Thanks!

@Robert Barkoski, the Quick Shine was very fragile and tended to flake off, leaving some odd jagged edges.

@Monte, the decals weren't too bad and didn't require much additional attention. They had an oddly rubbery texture, but they responded to decal solution pretty well. I had to make some compromises to make the rudder decal fit because it is badly out of scale. Someone else on here scanned, resized and reprinted it on blank decal paper for their build, which seems like a good solution. Unfortunately that didn't occur to me as an option when I was working on this!

@Carlo, the base coat is Mig Ammo, which is a satin finish. I don't think it was beading up as much as it seems to be a skill/technique issue. There was a little graininess in the primer layer, which I thought I'd sanded away, but maybe that's carrying over to the subsequent layers as well.
Adding that other parts of the plane seem to have come out OK, where I think I was laying it on a little wetter and more directly. Higher pressure might help atomize the gloss better, so I may give that a try.

I tracked down more reference photos and confirmed the location of a few remaining stencils, so I'll be placing those tonight. These 40 year old old decals have held up well, but they take some care to coax into place. This is the build that never ends!
After those are done, I'll seal them in with a gloss coat and then start work on the weapons bay and landing gears. Based on my experience with the decals, I was wise to build in this order, but it's a little weird that there's still so much construction to be done on what is basically a finished model.
