@ Nueling ... I saw a video on U tube, the disputed "Nation" of Taiwan modified M41's referred to as a "D" . This model only looks similar, I had a half built kit ..I needed to finish , representing no nation or country and its not to be exact in any way... It was built for my standing "Garden Defense Force"

Mona, Yes summertime keeps away from the bench. Especially when the spouse has doubled the vegetable garden and you get to be the "free" labor.

And I'm prepping up the new Mancave, getting it all ready for the big push. Still got a few more weekends before it's ready to go up though. Bench time this week= zero

Hi 🙂 Thank you David , Jennifer and Villers . I scraped the diorama attached to this build ..it just didn't work out, perhaps a smaller less ambitious base is its future resting spot. currently its parked waiting for it's antenna on my desk top

There's several versions of this kit, including the latest Round 2/AMT version. All exactly the same kit! eBay is your friend here.

This crazy old coot has just started to build another Superliner! Now I just have to find another of my Lonestars, to put the wheels on, so jackhammer and you guys can see the height difference? I may have to grab a nap though, because at 6am on a Saturday, I'm usually waking up, hahahaha 😄
20 May, 04:57

5AM and I'm here checking up before work. MAN! I need a life😄! Soon it's done the sooner I'm at the bench. Got scratch building of mud flap hangers to do as well as tubing out the rear axles.
Mona- looking forward to some CF pics.
Dozer- hope you enjoyed your nap.

If you build the sleeper cab the steps are fiddly. I had to redo the drivers side as it was too close to the tire. My hand rails are doing just fine. Of course I picked the best pair of the of the bunch.

The italeri 378 is a nice kit, and I just love the Revell 359, although the chrome can be dodgy, from kit to kit? However, if you get one, Revell still carry spares, and any issues with any italeri kit, they'll send you the parts, if you pay for the shipping? Both kits come with my approval.

Very nice. I like the technical details. How easy is the kit and the transmisson/engine-extension to build?
19 March, 17:31

@ Shar D , it wasn't difficult ,the linkage for the transmission a bit tricky ,and the instructions not super specific in the relationship of pieces for the brakes ..all the plastic for what would be tubing/piping ..on the engine very easy to break and I had to make several pieces I broke removing from the sprue....It wasn't difficult or "real" easy ...pays to review the instructions prior to each step , don't attempt after too much coffee or when nervous 😉

I also have some handy real life pictures of the R model, that I took at the museum. As many know, it's my favourite Mack. I'm also on a few Facebook groups, for the real thing too. You get to know the issues with them, and the members post some of the most amazing pictures, of the things that we never get to see? Cab mounts, starter motors, wiper motors, etc. I find it useful, without a doubt. Any luck with the dashboard conversion?
13 March, 16:25

haven't addressed the dash board ...I did actually think about it this morning , between errands . I'm not on FB ..its really not a social platform I embrace (although many do) . Scalemates ...my only online social presence .

ollies here used to have models occasionally ..only saw them at our walmart (supercenter) once (at
Christmas) .but the local Hobby Lobby has a decent model Isle ..I have to order ..anything "good" as there aren't any hobby shops left here (NF) or Buffalo
4 March, 22:07

Buffalo! I have a great story about driving upto the falls, near you. I also have an FB buddy who lives just down the road from you. I have to admit, back here in England, we have the same issue. Too many fast food joints, and no Hobby stores? I fell lucky once, in Philly, and found the jewel in the crown. However, I've heard since, that that store closed too? Kids and computers! They can't tie their own laces, but can shoot an alien from 1000 metres! Keep checking your stores, and if I get a whiff of information, I'll let you know. I picked up my chrome tanker, exterior post van, Pete 352, and my Transtar 4300 from Ollie's. I also paid $22 for my Mack R685ST, from Hobby Lobby, with the coupon. Only bad thing about America is....
I'm not there 🙂 USA all the way!

@Mona. Spider Mike drove a Diamond T. There's actually a resin cast cab of it (ask me how I know? 🙂 ) I was all over the CB back in the day, on FM and then later on Mid Band. Crazy times and very much fun. Widow Woman had a Brockway, and I'm pretty sure that there's a resin cast cab for that too? Currently, A.I.T.M. moulds are in the hands of Doug Wagner, the owner of Keystone Aluminium miniature models. For some reason, his website is down? I'm guessing it's to update it, but I'm sure that someone will correct me? I believe that you can email Doug with any requests and he'll get back to you though? Some pretty stuff out there, especially the Mack B model. Ya got Wicked Willy comin' back at ya, and down on the side.
