me 2. I have one in my stash. And I've followed with interest the previous group build here in scalemates. Lots of info in my MT albums for interested mates...
great work by the way. 👍

I'll gladly take a look 🙂 although I haven't got an Uhu. Yet.😉

Hello Rene and Rui, I am happy when I have spectators 🙂 welcome 🙂
there are some things to write yes, some things do not quite fit but I had the most trouble with the Eduard straps, the next model in 1:32 I use textile from scalemates.com/kits/170746-hgw- 132510-seatbelts-for-heinkel-he-219, otherwise small putty work and a lot of searching for parts ........

beautiful equipment in cockpit 👍

Thank you James 🙂 , I am pleased to welcome you in the round 👍, the 48er Tamiya He 219 I have already built several times, a great kit, you can see at ARC, at scalemates only one for group building https: // www .scalemates.com / profiles / mate.php? id = 11224 & p = album & album = 25101

The kit in 1:32 is something different and more elaborate than a Tamiya Kit, I did not want to try the Zoukei-Mura, that would work for a year 😄

Must.... Resist... getting it myself... Hnnng...
I like these big birds but don't have the space for another half-meter monster🙁
I enjoy watching your build come along though. The wheel wells look extremely good with all the add-ins 👍

Ohh Rene, I also have the space problems, the 219 does not stay with me, after the exhibition in Chemnitz gets a smoke-free, dust-free place of honor, with me for the next few weeks still some giants on the table, Swordfish 1:32, Walrus 1:48, Ju 188 both Dragon versions, to Chemnitz so still a few little things to do 😄

great work again and I am sure to follow as I love your night fighter paint jobs!

If you have someone who takes good care of your masterpieces, lucky you! You get to build huge birds and don't have to worry about where to put them😛
I'd need to try and sell them or something... And who buys mediocre models😄
But screw it, I have found the 32nd scale Uhu for a real bargain and I have lots of ceiling space👍 might get it anyway. It looks to be a nice and comfortable build!

I love the piggyback photo with the Spatz 😎

Nice the camo came out great 👍

Jens
Thank you Rui S, that was a few hours of strength training for the eyes, on the pictures you can also see some places that will receive a post.
The beautiful meandering, you can also repair small places locally without destroying the overall picture 🙂

Rene Scheiblich
No doubt about that! But it was totally worth it 🙂

Now I wonder how well the undercarriage will carry all that weight. 😄

Jens
It is said that the chassis of the He 219 was more stable than that of the Bf 109, I have no concern, this is designed stable and is glued stable
20 July 2018, 12:43
Rene Scheiblich
I hope so. The legs look sturdy enough, but I've heard other planes come down after a while sometimes.

nice work, also on the camo...

Small mistake when painting with Gunze GX clear coat, too little thinner 8o,
this became a surface like sandpaper, but GX dries very fast and so the surface is sanded, the etched parts are repositioned
the next paint will surely have 1:10 and more thinner content: D

The Props are Alu Primer and 70 Topcoats
The coolers have a primer made of steel blue with topcoat RLM 02
The spinners are pre-painted with Gunze Mr. Color White, the spirals are made of 1mm tape itself, the whole then gets black as the top coat

The rudders and flaps are glued in the outer wing, for the inner flaps an anchor point is necessary on the fuselage, so something else takes
For the ailerons I replaced the "joints" with cannulas 0,8, one side could not resist my paws .....
For today the cockpit is planned, RLM 66 reworking, pulpit in the whole RLM 76 and thus also the masking around the cockpit to garbage degrade

Thomas Bischoff
comes along nicely! Good to hear you could fix the issue with the clear coat

Jens
The home straight is in sight
But also new problems, real weight problems
both main landing gears have come off again over time,
despite Tamiya speed glue and also very little load, the glue spots have loosened again
Now everything gets a 2K adhesive aid, with some glass fabric as a support, as I was used to in RC model making.
The propeller mount was then not up to my expectations, the gearbox had broken out,
5 new struts made of 0.6 needles and the star is much more stable ......

The decals are kept in the Revell Matt, but with strong setter as a basis, this is not a problem
but I pretreated with Alclad clearcoat for the smaller decals of the fill levels in the tanks,
say, apply a fresh dot with the brush and apply the decals in the "wet" clear coat
For smaller Decals no problem, for larger, like the BK's I have then only the loose spots on the side slightly coated
Thus, the BK's also have a secure hold

Yikes! You could hang the washing for the whole wing on the protrusions! What a challenge!!!!!!!!!! And all the extra fixes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will be watching VERY closely Jens. Don't know how I missed it. Apologies for the late arrival... 🙁
30 July 2018, 06:50
Rene Scheiblich
Woohoo nailed the paintjob as usual Jens! I'm leaning towards that scheme as well, it looks sleek and badass in black😄
Pity though about the collapsed undercarriage. I hope I remember to use some 2k glue with mesh for these parts.
30 July 2018, 07:29
Jens
@ Peter, I'm too fast, because you probably miss a lot, my models have very little response because, the colleagues often need to buy more time than me for the construction 😄
@ Rene, the weight makes real concern with the model, even at the end you have the händling rpobleme, the many small parts, I was glad that the Heinkel could then leave the table without further damage 😉
@bobinspokaloo not many planes have earned the attribute "Sexy", but the Heinkel 219 is an interesting, in the colors very exciting and in the scale also huge plane and it has been really fun despite the glitches 🙂

And a beautysalon it is... Nice work

Bryn Crandell
Very nice. Are the antennae photo etch? They look real fiddly. Great paint job!
31 July 2018, 11:39
Jens
Thank you colleagues for the nice words 🙂
@Bryn Crandell the antennas are original Revell plastic
31 July 2018, 12:46
Rene Scheiblich
Thought as much. Sleek looking but a tad bit on the heavy side 🙂
I'm worried about all those delicate parts sticking around everywhere as well.

Peter, interesting alternative use for the antennae… 😄 Don't forget the "remove before flight" labels though… Don't want to go hunt bombers with some undies on the windscreen 🤔
1 August 2018, 19:12
Peter Hardy
Especially 1945 undies! The whole windscreen would be "Bombay Bloomers"!

Jens, I have a history of destroying fine plastic antennas. How did you seperate from the sprues?
1 August 2018, 21:15
Jens
Hello Peter, that's easy 🙂
From CMK a fine saw to separate it from the frame hsc-modell.ospan.de/..hp?products_id=31200 and then with a scalpel easily scraping and scratching The link is intended only as an aid, so that is understood exactly what I meant scalemates.com/kits/541093-c..a-smooth-saw-both-sides-5pcs
