Jens Hello Bryn Crandell, yes it was really frightening, first one side of the straight piece with Revell glue dry, but it pressure from the front on everything, from the solid piece then each strut piece by piece and always the good old Revell glue, he holds better and more stable than the Tamiya, but without gap it does not work, from below it needs about 1.5 mm filling

Germen V nice progress

Anthony D'Agostino Hey Jens, thanks for the link. You did a phenomenal job building this bird up, especially liked the wiring/hydraulics plumbing through the cabin. Also the detail on the cockpit instrument cluster, looks like engine number 2 is running a little hot! That is a LOT of detail. It's a shame really, if you didn't have the photos as proof, it would be very difficult to see it. But I know why you work so hard to make it look so real, the satisfaction of pulling it off and the challenge, it looks awesome! Same goes with the engines. I did notice that there is a line of filler around the entire engine strut, did you have to cut out the kit engines and fit an aftermarket engine?

Either way, she looks gorgeous, is she big as well? Some people that have built the MH/CH-53E in 48 scale, talk about how huge the kit is. Just wonder if this is even bigger? Be a while before I get one, as I have other projects in line before her, but it also is a matter of finding one when I have the money to buy it, just hope those two variables meet soon.

Jens Hello Anthony and thanks for the compliments :)
but in turn, there are no resin parts installed,
the spatula on the turbine nacelle is an acrylic spatula, easy and quick to process
Cockpit and weapons are taken from the Eduard BiG Ed Set or improved in the self-built something
the "burn marks" at the turbine exit are pure colors of Alclad a brass and aluminum, to Mr. Color of Gunze something Ror, blue, brown, pure yellow and different shades of gray
I have used cannulas 1.2 mm 0.8 mm and brass tube 0.6 mm as tube for the Seten weapons
The cables and wires are made of copper and lead wire, thickness between 0.4 and 0.8 mm
Base colors Exterior Olive Drab by Model Master, Interior Light Gray Mr. Color and Interior Green by Alclad
almost forgotten, silver wire 0,6 mmfor the feathers of the cannons

Neuling Wow, that`s a good one!
20. April at 16:55:15
James C Fabulous work Jens and looks mean as hell armed up like that. Very cool!
20. April at 18:11:05
Jens Thank you friends for the nice words :) The AHC 47 Chinook was such a model I was looking for a long time, but the BiG Ed Set by Eduard was a hit and miss that could be found like gold on the bench, the big disappointment was then the plastic from Italeri, from so modern forms so many flaws, but it's done and it was the model in 2018 with the most extra work :) Your compliments will make you forget all the trouble, but the next CH 47 Chinook will be 1:35 Trumpeter probably has the better shapes :D

Jens Thank you Björn, space needs the He 111 probably: D but just as much patience, the model has many flaws not only in the fit, the surface is very rough on the hull and the 1cm wide, there is only sandpaper helps :(
6. April at 06:27:22
Stephan Ryll Very nice result Jens
6. April at 08:18:12
Thomas Bischoff Great result! The open cockpit slidewindow is my favourit
6. April at 09:53:33
David Januska Oh I like it very much. Perfect result. Great inspiration for me for the future.I have too little space so I'm planning to build one in the only "true scale" ;) from Hasegawa.
6. April at 10:01:39
Neuling Impressive build!
6. April at 17:20:37
James C Very nice finish Jens. Despite the issues you had with the kit, it looks awesome.
6. April at 17:59:58
Thanks for the kind words :)
@ Thomas, such open windows as an option, yes, like the engines, at ICM standard, unfortunately, but you often forget the precision in detail, so light and shade are very close to you :(
@ David, the model of 72 Hasegawa is certainly not so nice detaliert, the engines are probably missing, but it will probably be the greater pleasure on the workbench, the quality at Hasegawa is consistently convincing :) a lot of fun and good luck for the 111

4. April at 10:04:04
Jens Thanks Michael & Sebastian , Unfortunately, the decals are not so perfect, some is patched and the folding mechanism probably needs more stability, but I've improved everything with the Eduard parts

Jens Thank you colleagues for the nice words about the model, it was a lot of work and certainly I will never again take a Kitty Hawk jet on the workbench, a real disappointment in terms of quality and design.
7. March at 02:51:03
Robert Hall Mighty Fine Bird I Must Say ! Pretty Colorful for the DDR ! Top Notch work !
7. March at 03:01:05
Michael Hickey I've heard Kitty Hawk are a bit hit and miss, I've got their F-35 Lightning II hope that isn't a putty queen. :S
7. March at 05:04:15
Jens Thanks Robert :)
@ Michael, spatula is needed, but that's not much, what annoying are the sprues, ejector like spigot, big big tap, the saber takes forever, some recording tap are just wrong, parts are looking for but in the end you do it yourself. ..., the rails of the rockets and tanks should be checked carefully, a lot of imagination and the glue dots are not always in the same places ......., really no fun for the money, but it's model making and not LEGO technology :D

7. February at 15:07:53
Jens Hello Thomas and thank you for your opinion on the 109 :) but since I'm not a good craftsman my question back, what is not balanced on the wings, or nievelliert?
7. February at 17:04:16
7. February at 20:21:41
7. February at 20:37:42
Michael Hickey Nice clean build Jens.
7. February at 21:56:24
Jens Thanks Michael :) is an Eduard kit, there it should fit :)
7. February at 22:04:24
Michael Hickey Yes, you would think so, the Spitfire Mk. VIII I just finished went together with very little effort what so ever, bar my faults. I'm hoping their Hellcat Mk. I I plan on doing after my Buccaneer is finished goes well.
7. February at 23:11:08
Jens Hello Michael, the Hellcat is just as easy as the Spit or Bf 109, only in the connection wing and fuselage you should look a little closer, that fits very well, but also quickly inaccurate and wrong

27. December 2018 at 13:44:45
Jens Hello Thomas, in the pictures it is the decals of special hobby, but the have but broke the clear coat, all bubbles and cracks, I have them removed and paint everything new
27. December 2018 at 13:48:08
27. December 2018 at 13:55:09

The rudder and the surfaces have already the white reason, I accept the offer for the identification number because I had experimented with tape without success. An inquiry with special hobby is still no answer :(, but fun it makes nevertheless, also the pulpit fits much better than with the "bazooka Bücker", the experience you may have to do with your also :)

Jens Thanks for the nice words, I'm glad if the Do 215 likes :)
19. December 2018 at 12:37:45
Thomas Bischoff missed that build till now - another very nice plane! Was there a fit problem between wing and fuselage?
Did you use the Vector stabiliser due to wrong shape or for more details?
One day I will go for a Do 217 ....
23. December 2018 at 19:02:41
Jens Hello Thomas, nice that the Do 215 can convince you :) The tail of Vector is just right, the Do had a pendulum rudder and that is not shown on the ICM kit, also the rudder blades are too narrow the hull too wide, many reasons the Vector to use, also the tailspin is made much finer .. Hull to surfaces is okay, the problem is the motor gondolas, too high, the landing gear rammed the top surface and the sides do not fit very well, almost as much spatula as on a Dragon Ju 88, Also, the pulpit probably does not agree with the B4 version, or there were still differences in the armament in the series. More soon on the Do 17 Z, then with the engines from Vector and the whole Eduard set
23. December 2018 at 19:14:58
Thomas Bischoff Thanks for the feedback! Now you mention it I would agree that the hull is on the wide side and the blades narrow. But you built it into a really nice looking result!
