BTW, does any of you, Gentlemen have an idea how a pilot's harness should look like here? I know not much will be seen after closing the fuselage, but I would like to add something verisimile made from masking tape or something like that...
31 July 2021, 08:21
Robert Podkoński
How much weight should be put into her nose to prevent her from tailsitting, what do you think, Gentlemen? 😄
31 July 2021, 14:54
Maciej Bellos
A kilo should do the job 😄

You're too kind, Peter, thank you 😉 Too early to judge adequately IMHO...
5 August 2021, 15:14
B. M.
Following this one too of course ??
The kit is definitely more detailed than the Sharkit.
But it also looks like not easy to assemble after all.
Curious to see the next steps!
5 August 2021, 16:45
Robert Podkoński
Welcome, Benoit! As usual with MikroMir kits, this one is deceptive - looks simple in the box, but needs some attention. Nevertheless, it goes together fairly easy as far.
5 August 2021, 17:26
Peter G
Is it fair to say that you are "getting jiggy wit it?"
8 August 2021, 12:46
Robert Podkoński
LOL, Peter 😄
8 August 2021, 15:30
S M
That jig was great idea ?
8 August 2021, 20:38
Bruce Huxtable
Ingenious solution ???
8 August 2021, 20:58
Robert Podkoński
Bruce and S M, thanks - seems quite effective...
9 August 2021, 07:22
Robin (WhiteGlint)
That was a creative idea to use that jig 👍
Will you add some kind of launch pad later?
10 August 2021, 08:54
Robert Podkoński
You're again inspiring me, WhiteGlint 😉 Thank you!
10 August 2021, 09:49

Glad to be of help.

Some update here, Mates 😉
28 October 2021, 07:17
Bruce Huxtable
The new legs look great, Robert 🙂
28 October 2021, 07:55
Robert Podkoński
At least now I am sure that these will keep the weight of the whole 😉
28 October 2021, 08:45
Juergen Klinglhuber
nice progress - The new legs really looks way better than the flimsy originals - top 👍
28 October 2021, 09:48
B. M.
Oh yes, much better! 👍🏼
28 October 2021, 11:08
Mark
The scratch built supporting legs are a massive improvement on the originals. 👍
28 October 2021, 12:02
Robert Podkoński
I'm happy you like them, Mates 🙂
28 October 2021, 12:10
Robin (WhiteGlint)
Now she's got some real nice legs. 😄
Keep up the nice work. 👍 I'm also looking forward to the launch pad. 😉

👍
2 November 2021, 20:53
Villiers de Vos
This takes me back to those Jerry Anderson puppet animation shows of Thunderbirds 🙂
3 November 2021, 07:18
Robert Podkoński
While assembling this model I am wondering who would be brave enough to fly the real thing, not mentioning the question of firing such a big rocket projectile from behind one's back in fact...
3 November 2021, 07:46
Maciej Bellos
Something like "He's got a big fat missile up his *beeep*".

Looking good Robert!
3 November 2021, 09:15
Robert Podkoński
LMAO 😄
3 November 2021, 09:17
Simon Nagorsnik
you always build the best unique pieces!, I don't know exactly what it is 😅 but i like it very much!
3 November 2021, 18:02
Bruce Huxtable
Well said, Simon. Here here! It's looking 'sharp' already, and still more to be added! She's going to be a beauty 🙂
3 November 2021, 18:15
Robert Podkoński
Thank you, Simon 😉 if you take a look at my stash and completed models, you will easily notice that I have a soft spot for such bizarre machines... This one is a 'paper project' that, to the best of my knowledge, was intended as a 'point interceptor' and competed with "Trident":
SNCASO SO.9050 "Trident II" (MikroMir 72-019, 1:72)
which was actually built and flown and is preserved in Le Bourget museum.

72-019

Łukasz Gliński
They have couple of such oddities over there indeed 🙂
3 November 2021, 18:55
Robert Podkoński
I love the prototypes' hall and La Grande Galerie, of course! (which was under reconstruction when I was there last time, unfortunately...)
4 November 2021, 07:33
Juergen Klinglhuber
Well done! Nice project and build!
4 November 2021, 08:10
Bruce Huxtable
Your own Grande Galerie has a new highlight, Robert 🙂
4 November 2021, 08:19
Robert Podkoński
Thanks, Juergen and Bruce - there is still the big fat missile to be installed 😉
4 November 2021, 08:27
Robin (WhiteGlint)
Looks like she is almost ready to launch. Off to the moon! 😄
4 November 2021, 11:41
Bruce Huxtable
Looks great, Robert 👍🙂
8 November 2021, 16:08
Robert Podkoński
Thanks. Bruce, you are too kind. I am going to substitute the missile with the more professionally looking one...
8 November 2021, 17:17
Robert Podkoński
I call her finished 😉 Now I have to think over the launch site...
9 November 2021, 07:48
Mark
Much better missile Robert! The original drew the eye and looked too toy-like, making the whole model look a little so. The new missile makes the whole model more believable for me. Brilliant! 👍
9 November 2021, 07:56
Łukasz Gliński
I'm sorry to say that, but that new missile&pylon set looks just too modern to me, like stolen form a Hornet or Viper 🙁
The original one had that classic comics look (similar to AA-3 Anab btw.)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K-8_(missile)
9 November 2021, 08:14
Robert Podkoński
I agree with you, Łukasz, but the pylon was taken from the kit - I only substituted the missile
9 November 2021, 13:08
S M
Finished model looks great 👍 The new missile looks more threatening for a modern viewer. Interesting, that it could carry only one missile.
9 November 2021, 17:20
Robert Podkoński
Thank you very much, S M. There arise few more issues when looking at this project, e.g. how the pilot would enter the cockpit (and leave it after landing...) and how the process of attaching the missile would be executed...
9 November 2021, 17:42
Robin (WhiteGlint)
A rather impractical design for several reasons, still a looker though! 👍
Metal goes well with red.
9 November 2021, 18:10
Robert Podkoński
Thank you, WhiteGlint! Perhaps that's why it never left the drawing board 😉
@Łukasz - it is even a more exotic 'fusion-cuisine': French and Chinese, since I borrowed the missile from J-31 Gyrfalcon kit 😉
9 November 2021, 19:55
Łukasz Gliński
Not so much if you take a look at Super Frelon or Dauphin 😉
9 November 2021, 20:51
Robert Podkoński
😄
10 November 2021, 09:17
Robert Podkoński
LOL 😄
11 November 2021, 07:24

Available as a film extra, perhaps 😉
