Here are the pictures from my UCI-submarine.

Mathias, for a roughly five years old guy, your modelling skills are unbelievable!😉

I like these WWI Sargnägel! And this one turned out very well! What paints did you use?

Mat, A really nice piece of history you have portrayed here mate.
The sailor and coin certainly show how fine the detail is.
Congratz mate. 🙂 👍 👍

Thx you like it, mates.
@Dieter: I'm definitly older Thank 5 years.😉
@Holger: I used Revell Aquacolors. 57, 78, 09 as Basic-colors, and some others for the details.
@Kerry: The sailor is from L'Arsenal.

Thanks for that Mat, as I bought some 'flat' sailors from Eduard that were to go on the Collins Class sub by Showcase models. 🙂

Hi Matze,

absolut spitze, gefällt richtig richtig gut. Ich bin ja was Marine angeht eher unbedarft, aber U-Boote finde ich faszinierend.

Very well done, Mathias!👍 Scratchbuilding is nothing but routine for you so you should give more of these underdog-kits a chance!😉

Mathias Carl
I would do so, Ulf, but 27€ + shipping is waaay to expensive in my opinion for this piece of... ...what ever...

Hey Mathias, waht is this canvas like stuff on the turret? A sunsail?
14 July 2015, 14:49
Mathias Carl
Well, the turret itself is realy tiny and flat.
So I think, the canvas was to protect the crew from water...

Album info

Here´s my minelaying submarine UC I from Combrig.
The resin part is well casted, but has some bubbles a.s.o. in it.
Of course on ?&%§$-places... 🙁
The pe-parts are not so well and also didn´t fit properly.
Last but not least some important parts like periscope etc. are not included.
So they had to be scratchbuilt.

As I´ve also built the UB I from U-Boat-Laboratorium, with which Cobrng coorporates in this kit, I can say, that the U-Boat-Laboratorium kit was way better.
And all parts missing in the Combrig-version have been included in the U-Boat-Laboratorium-version.

So I wouldn´t buy the Combrig one again, to be honest...

Nevertheless:
I hope you like it.
