Those tires should be able to be fixed with an Exacto blade, some super glue and some sanding. It's stupid to put pin marks there and they're a pain to correct but it can be done.

Agreed! I'll sort it - I've encountered issues like this before on all these older kits... As always it'll be about patience mate ๐Ÿ‘

Your color touches to the control panel reminds me of early 1960's space fantasy films. I wonder if Captain Kirk could fly a Corsair?

Hahaha ๐Ÿ˜€ I'll take that! Yes! I could definitely see him in a Corsair for sure ๐Ÿ‘

Hi Roland 🙂 Thanks! I don't really know too much about these things: Tooling, plastic colour choice, kit manufacture, etc... But I'd guess it's maybe because my (older version kit) is an Academy/Minicraft and yours is an Academy, so for whatever (cost?) reason that would be a suggestion mate??

Great weathering job! Always hard to get a good weathering look on a dark surface. You nailed it!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Time to update another album with some final booth imagery 🙂 I completed this build in 2023. Alas, it's taken me this long to finalise the album. I learnt a lot on this build about applying weathering techniques on a darker surface. As usual I've indulged in a not completely accurate finish/scheme. Though it does have a basis in a Corsair reality. As some might say, my model, my rules! Haha! Thanks to any who have liked, you're kind to appreciate my efforts and thanks also for allowing me in this Devotion group build. I also have a Skyraider in there too if you're interested 😉

Oh if we could only smell the wonderful odors of a fighter from this vintage! Looks like the engine could actually be started! Fantastic work mate!
