Desert Marlin AutorI used the Eduard Zoom panels for the Control Panels. However, they start out in the normal FS36320 base color which conflicts with the F-15I cockpits which are in a dark or black gray color. So, I need to adjust the paint on the panels before assembly. The rear panel is nearly done. (needs weathering).

Desert Marlin AutorI hope to go to the Naval Air Museum in Lakeland (Pensacola?) also! There is an SP-5B I would like to see and get pictures of! BTW, John (bug hunter) I think your build looks better than the real thing! I wish they had left the inlet open!

Desert Marlin AutorAll the wiring harnesses are scratchbuilt. Had to follow all the lines from the control (computer) stand out to the individual modules.

Desert Marlin AutorThanks Mr D! This is a challenge mostly due to the size of the kit. The CFTs are a bear to get right, but I did my best. The F-15I is going to be even larger so I am going to do a bit of planning before I start. May have to do most of the work on the F-15I out in the hangar...

Damian GüttnerVery nice Ju 87 , well built. But what happened at the bottom !!???? With the crosses !!???? They are totally crooked !! Can you correct that ?

Desert Marlin AutorThanks Rui! Damian, This particular marking set requires that the crosses be at an angle. Apparently Hans Ulrich Rudel had them that way. I could absolutely remove them and repaint, but if they were straight, that might not be correct…

Desert MarlinSadly, another interruption to the Mirage 2000N has occurred. I opened a new kit, the P-38J in 1:48 scale from Tamiya and started tinkering with it. Oh boy, two hours later the wings and fuselage were done. I cannot believe the engineering of this kit. So, it's going to be Robin Olds SCAT II from D-Day. zDecals should be here today. Absolutely nuts how good this kit is...

RandoIf I get into 1/32 I'll keep it in mind! Not too big when it's single engine prop at least. I built a P-47 and desert 109 in that scale as a kid.
