Fantastically detailed, still planning it while continuing with some other kits.There are more details for the cockpit and shuttles which I shall add next time I can get to it from storage.

The kit is all resin cast and comes very well packed in one large box. This kit is a limited edition of 10 and although not cheap, is a gorgeous replication of what is fondly referred to as the tenth character of the series. The pieces are very well scaled and intricately detailed. If not stored and handled well some minor pipe or cabling is easily damaged. It may even be wise during construction to replace some of this with more flexible options. The kit cen displayed in fighter or on the ground. The main parts come in white resin with the shuttles and landing gear in grey. For the more adventurous amongst us the possibility of lighting existsbut has not not been catered to, this will be a delicate operation in some areas. Attention to detail is excellent, as was shown with a reprint of the decals early on. I have included some photos of the parts prior to any work starting on my wall as a project to be started.

Thank you for the positive comments, I know there are many, and more capable, creators than me out there. Being the first time I have shown any of my completed projects, I wish I had done this long ago as it has rekindled my enthusiasm for the skill.

I recently put together this 1:144 Tie fighter from Bandai, to go next to my 1:144 Fine Molds Millennium Falcon, and I was very surprised to see how large the Tie fighter was in relation to this tramp freighter. 🙂 I mean the Tie's didn't look that large in the movie, or that was my impression. I never bought the 1:72 B-Wing, but I did find a 1:144 toy that looked good enough to put on the shelf. 🙂

I agree that from watching the movies you do imagine how these ships would compare to each other in size comparison. I was surprised at the comparison of the Bandai 1/72 scale Tie and X-wing fighters to each other. I did imagine the Tie to be a lot smaller.

I like to place the completed kits in a case if I have the room, saves then from damage and dust etc. Always glad to hear comments and tips with regard to the showing of completed kits in context, a scene or diarama. Again photography is not and probably never will be a strong point.
