Very impressive build and painting. Without the reference picture I would have taken the model as a fantasy product. At any rate - the machine gun seems well kept and the apples in the bucket look tempting!

I've got to say, looking at your builds is like the whole candy store for the eyes. The shot with the reference picture amazes me every time I look at it. Could you please tell me where you purchased your shrinking ray gun?

Check out on Aliexpress. They sell it real cheap... 🙂 But seriously, thanks for the kind words guys. If you're interested, I've made a complete SBS for this model here: www.scaledracula.com/brdm-2

Great details, great painting & weathering. Love it! 👍

Hi! This is absolutely not my subject but that weathering is outstanding! The broken window looks convincing and the bucket with the apples is a nice gadjet! Awesome, we want more!😉

Cheers

Thanks Holger. I'll keep them coming. 🙂 I've created a tutorial on how to make a broken glass like that. Check it out here: scaledracula.com/how..listic-broken-glass/ Whatever the subject of your projects is, it may come in handy. And the effect looks pretty cool.

Uschi van der Rosten is actually developing a "broken glas kit" and it is basicly the same method as yours. But anyway - Thx for the link! This will become handy in the near furure.😉

Wow thanks for the step-by-step for the glass. A handy idea I'll certainly use on at least one of my 1:35 builds.

You're welcome guys, and if you use the effect share the results! By the way, I didn't invent this technique, I just created an easy to follow guide, as I couldn't find one online.

Really? After that Shilka you come up with another masterpiece? We are fragile minds over here, please don't blast us with too much of that high quality stuff! You might break us for life.... 😉

Whoah!!! Down to the exact same pictures as stuck to the original... Magnificent! 👍

Haha! The next galleries are coming soon. So get yourself some chamomile tea to calm your nerves. 🙂 All other galleries are on my website so take a look if you dare. And thanks a lot Patrick! These are just jokes.

😄 Well, I just read your whole article about the BRDM-2. I'm really in for that chamomile tea right now! 😄

I'm already sipping mine awaiting that little gun truck. I have saved your web page as well.

Oh yes, this is just beautiful! Absolutely impressive AFV building techniques, something to truly look up to 👍 - so nice to see what´s possible 🙂 Checked the majority of the site in the meantime (I think...) and again, greats stuff and a really neat webdesign on top! Hope to see more from you here & in the future! You don´t happen to do aircraft, or maybe? Would be cool to watch😢

ScaleDracula
Thanks Slavo! No, I've never done a single aircraft in my life. But never say never, maybe I'll do one eventually. In the meantime I'll be working on some sci-fi projects as well. And hopefully some diorama and figures.

Picked up some slide-glass while in the local craft store last night on sale for $2 so now I'm ready to try the broken glass technique!
