Tis The front office is complete. The intent was to depict an interior showing weathering after a few months heavy operations from Malta. Thanks for looking. Comments and critiques welcome.

Thanks for the comments, Mates! The engine is nearing completion. After the engine is mounted to the frame and firewall, more piping and wiring needs to be added. This project calls for lots of back and forth between flaps, engine section, gun bays, landing gear bays, wings, fuselage, etc., and requires detailed focus on the instructions for the main kit and each upgrade -- a good challenge. Thanks for looking. Comments and critiques always welcome.

Thanks Mates! Just finished a major milestone getting the wings and fuselage integrated, incorporating the flap bays, gun bays and mounting interface for the engine. Lots of surgery and I'm glad this phase is complete. Thanks for looking. Comments always welcome.

Album info

Continuing with the Malta theme, this aircraft sports the late 1942 "Malta scheme" of Light Mediterranean blue underneath, and Dark Slate Grey / Deep Sky on top. EP829 was delivered to Malta in November 1942 during Operation Train, the last of the carrier-based operations to reinforce the island with Spitfires. It was one of the few non-tropicalized Spitfires delivered to Malta. On April 28, 1943, in this aircraft, John Lynch shot down a Ju 52, which was the 1000th victory for the defenders of Malta. Photos of this aircraft show heavy weathering and maintenance work in progress. The plan is to depict this highly weathered aircraft undergoing maintenance. The build will include the engine, upgraded cockpit, gun bays, and flaps.
