Thank you, mates! Glad to hear such kind words about my humble "training models" 🙂 Konrad, those stands are from Zvezda brand - the are included in most of their jet plane kits (like this Mig 31, for example), and are also sold separately. To be true, they are not so beautiful, but quite sturdy.

Very good pair of kits. Which one do you think is a better model kit? I have both in my wishlist...

Agustin, the Mig-25 PD (1\72) from ICM is a bit old kit, with good surface detail, but simplistic cockpit (also the canopy doesn't have any frames so it's very difficult to mask) and it's very hard to build due to lots of molding imperfections and some engineering flaws - I've had to trim or adjust nearly every part of it. I would strongly recommend you to build their new Mig-25 RBT (1\72) - already got myself one, and heard only good about the assembly. Talking about the Mig-31, it's a very old kit from Zvezda, easy to build and mostly suitable for beginners or for training purposes. It has not so bad detail overall, yet still, it's not anywhere near modern modelkit standarts. So if you want a nicely detailed Mig-31 in 1\72, I would advice you to take a look at the Trumpeter kit - I also have this one, and it has brilliant detail and nice engineering.

Thanks, Dmitriy. Your comment is more than welcome. I prefer the 25, so I will look for the ICM RBT.

Album info

Both models were built as a part of my big "jet training session". The Mig-25PD is an old kit from ICM - it had good engineering in it's origin and nice surface details, but the molding quality destroys most of that - kit builds like a not-so-good shortrun kit, though it's not a short-run. Mig-31 is an old kit, but in the terms of assembly it's ok.
