Smuggled this old stash dweller along on vacation. 😄
Just glue, sandpaper, hairy sticks and thick old Revell acrylics. What could go wrong?

Working on it. 😄
It is really satisfying, just working with a brush. Not fussing about thinning and pressure and cleaning of the airbrush.

As i am someone who feels like they're missing out without an airbrush it's nice to hear someone else praise working without one!!

Looks good so far. Will follow as I have never built a ship!

Welcome Brian. If you want to be inspired by brush painting, give Augie a look. She is really great with a hairy stick.
The result with an airbrush can be much better, if you're halfway decent. Compared to this build anyway.

Well, she's finished. I put the pedal to the metal and raced ahead. Pictures can be found here: Completed - IJN Mogami | Album by Mahoo76 (1:700)
It was relaxing to build old-skool. In the end I couldn't help myself and added a bit of rigging. If Lode can do it in 1/200, I can mess it up in 1/700! 😄
