Looking good! Clean work!
Great work mate! 🙂 I am interested in this kit. How is it to built?
Very neat and tidy ??
Thank you guy's.
@Edward, the build was without any major issue's as long as you take a litlle bit care, only the instructions are a bit vague on some points. And they are printed small as well.
You have to look carefully wich plane has the apropiate intakes, tailplanes & coolers.
I found this article on Hyperscale very helpfull,
and this website dedicated to 101 squadron,
Good work, Michael! We all are aware that these Kovozavody kits need some skills and attention (notwithstanding your modesty here... 😉 )
Thanks Michael! This is very helpful! 🙂

Prepared the major components for both kts. The Roden kit takes a bit more effort than the Hasegawa one.
Although the details are very nice there is a lot of flash to remove and had to cut the lowerwing in half because it didn't fit with the fuselage.
Also having my first venture with photo etch, and fortunatly there will be not much rigging to be done on the Fokker.
Made some headway, F-35 is in primer, ready for the top coat. Used for the first time MR Paint and it worked like a treat. Smooth as silk.
Also had my first adventures with photo etch. Needs a different mind set and a lot of patience. Accidentally launched a tiny etch part in orbit last week, couldn't find it back so considered it lost forever. But today, miraculously, it popped up on a place I looked several times.
The Fokker requires a bit of hard yakka. But is now also comming along nicely.

Looking good so far. 🙂
Nice start Michael!
Slowly plodding along with Sarinah. Must say, it's a nice kit from Airfix, no real problems encountered sofar. Only the plastic is a bit soft.
Looks good Michael. Eager to see more
Looks good Michael.
Thanks, pleased with the result sofar. Spend a few evenings masking all the glasswork. Got myslf a Peewit masking set designed for the new Airfix B-25. So now almost ready for the paintjob.
Sweet paintjob Michael!
So finaly got the top colour on this week. Ready for decaling.
Finished the decaling despite the hot weather and put on a coat of Allclad Klearcote flat to get a more realistic finish. Also the masks from peewitt were taken off(without any problems, no glue residu left behind) Still some work before this bird is considerd done. The next months will be dedicated to moving house and renovating the new place. So no styrene molesting for me till that is done. But the prospect of getting an even bigger mancave(attic) than I now have will help getting that job done 😉

uh wow! thats coming out great. You're a luck y guy
Thank you guys for the positive comments. Hoping the next weeks to finish all the plasterboarding, having three weeks off work. No travels due to Covid, so plenty of time to do some hard yakka. And I think this is also an interesting aspect of our hobby, to show others where you do your thing. And I'm aware of being lucky to have such a dedicated space for myself. (when it's finished 🙂
Coming along nicely Michael!
Now for some serious seam work the comming days. 🙂
But that's for us modellers not a big deal.
Hoping to have it al done and finished in the next 2 months, so that I can unpack the last boxes and start building in a smaller scale than 1:1
Saw in your quartet build of the 104's that you treated yourself also with a very nice new and light mancave.
Keep up the nice work.
Nice place! 👍

Slowly plodding allong, almost reaching the painting stages
a rare subject - count me in, looks promising!
Hi Michael looks promising. I'm not much of a boat expert so I wonder why did you change the bow? I've read something about a bow propeller? Don't understand that haha.. plane nut..😉
Thanks, Erik. I also have more with the flying things than the floating things. I changed the bow propellor due to the fact that the representation off Revell was not really convincing, as some other parts of this kit. And it was a good way of trying to revive my styrene hacking skills .
Just came across this. Nice - always like SAR stuff.
Did you finish the model?
Haven't finished it yet, is still packed up. Like the rest of my modelling stuff. Bought a house that needed most of my spare time over the last two years. But I'm now in the last stages of the renovation project, and almost done with rebuilding the attic into a nice mancave. Then I will have the time and space to pick up the styreen molesting again. And I will definitly finish the Waker. I like your Calypso and other aquatic builds.
Thanks for reply. Yes life is busy. Its finding time and energy. Its a nice escape though. Hope you find some time soon for the Waker. Thanks for kind words.
