I spent the first couple of hours on this project. The diorama will a show a shot down Rata which is inspected by two german infantry-men.
I´m planning to finish this build in march so I can show it on Euro Model Expo in LIngen

I really have this doubt, even after I've read many real stories about the disturbing and disruption they caused in the German ranks mostly by night, (because they where so slow, they would prefer the night protection).😎

The Rata is the I-16. That's correct.

She got this name from the nationalists during the Spanish civil war

really good looking Moritz.
Rat (rat) was the nick name it received in Spain during the Civil War. I Believe it was also called Mosca (fly). the I-15 (Biplane) was called Chato (short nose)

@Rui Yes it was a strange feeling to drill holes in the sidewall to cut it off in the next moment, hopeit will turn out in that fashion which I am planning

Finished the painting and weathering of the interior. Now I am waiting for the HGW textile seatbelts. Next step will be assembling and painting the engine
