Only just seen your comment. Thanks! The fit isn't bad but it took plenty of sanding and scribing to get it right. Learnt some lessons for the next one.

The finish line is near! Pylons and Ordinance have been attached. Matt cote also applied as well as most of the weathering. Just got to attached the horizontal stabilisers and do the formation lights.

Looks amazing! How did you do the textured effect on the bombs?
28 July 2017, 13:08
Greg Jones
Thanks everyone!

@Bryn: Many thanks! The textured effect on the bombs was done by brushing a thin layer of Mr surfacer 500 then dabbing it with a stiff brush straight after. I hope this makes sense. If not please let me know and I will post some pictures to show you.

Looking real nice. I have this build as my next project. Any tips on the build process, seamless intakes go in good etc ? Looking forward to seeing the final build pics

Thanks Jeff and Gastón!

@Jeff: it is a nice kit but do plenty of dry fitting when putting the fuselage together! When putting the top and bottom halfs together I put some plasticard around the joins so it was a more flush fit (if that makes sense). I also glued the wings to the top half of the fuselage before joining the 2 halfs. Seamless intakes are great with minimal work and good for masking off to paint the grey part of the intake. Just pop me a message if you have any questions or difficulty during the build.
