very nice job! 1/72... wow
Stunningly good effect, Marco. I am truly impressed...
Thank you for your comments! I'm just trying to emulate "Uncle Nightshift's" method!
as you practice , and perfect (his technique ) it becomes your method .

Nice finish, some angles look metallic black, others straight black, good job
Great engine bay. Well done.
Looks great. Did those aftermarket parts come in the kit?
What paint did you use for the body? Also which other paints are needed? I'm planning to buy this kit and want to make sure I have all the paints too the same time.
Jimmy, the Nismo strut bar was scratch built using plastic card and tube. The brake lines and ignition loom were also added using thin wire. Everything else are the kit parts. If I remember correctly, I used the body from a JGTC R32 Skyline, that has the 2 air vents in the front bumper.
The body color is the Tamiya TS that is recommended in the instructions (I will have to check on my notes which code it is), overcoated with gloss varnish.
superclean built! impressive paintjob
awesome job on the extra detail, wish i could pull that off
i have axia decals going free if anyone wants them

Here is a simple tutorial showing how I make photos of scale models. I hope you find it usefull.
By the way, if I was not clear in any part of the blog post, please tell me so I can make it as easy as possible to be followed by anybody (specially for people new to photography).
Excellent tutorial Marco. Thanks for putting it together 👍
I am glad you like it Alex! I hope you find it useful!

Beautifull work! Congratulations
Thank you Jan! I am not entirely happy with it, but it was a "nice" learning experience!
it looks great
Agreed - looks fantastic to me 👍
Spanjaard and Neil, thank you for your comments!
Are we ever entirely happy? 😛
Very nice, loving the colours and the transparencies 👍
Good job, Marco! I like the subtle weathering - perfectly adequate IMHO. Congrats

Lovely colour scheme and subtle weathering!
Very beautiful small scale build!
Thank you Mark and Neuling! It is a very old build (from 2008) that got a new base this weekend (I am making similar bases for all my 1:72 scale military vehicles).

Thank you for your kind comments! This build has been somewhat troublesome! I'm planning in completing all panel line washes and just add some fuel and exhaust stains to complete it. I made a few video clips showing how I solved some silvering that appeared on the old kit decals and I plan to edit into a simple tutorial video. I'll share it here when I manage to edit it all together.
Well done. Congrats!
well done 👍
Great build 👍
Good work ,,, like it very much ,,, it looks you've got the typical Dragon fit issues

I've put mine on hold but will be looking into your project for inspiration.
I'm planning on building it quickly (a couple of weeks, if my work allows me some free time). I'm going to post some photos here, but I'll be making some blog posts with more details of the build. Thanks for your interest.
Looking forward to it!
wow great build !!!!

How did you airbrush it?
Treehugger, sorry I am not sure I understand your question!
I airbrushed the base colours using my trusty old CR Revelution airbrush (with 0.5mm nozzle). Afterwards, subtle effects were applied using oils and enamels (using a brush). Watercolour pencils were also used to highlight some edges.
If you are interested I can check what colours were used and I hope to have answered your question.

That is superb, Marco, the canopy framing is brilliant considering how tiny the model is!
Looks like a lot better than some 1/72 kits.
Very good job, contratulations!
Looks perfect to me, I needed a second look to believe that its 1:144!
Very nice and clean work.
I can only say 👍 👍 👍
Brilliant in this scale!
Microscopic precision, admirable !
Thats a cute little fellar!
144?? excellent work!!!
What a result on 144! Awesoe work Marco! I wish my 1:72 where so clean and crisp like your 144.
Excellent. I don't know how you all do such outstanding jobs on models so small. LOL.
Excellent and clean and sharp work - very well done👍
very nice build Marco 👍
Great work 👍

Cool Raam and great music selection too😉
The hangar is still a work in progress. I am still adding some exterior and interior details, with the painting stages still not very near!
I have an open project with the hangar construction!
Thanks Marco for the quick & detailed reply. Panel lines IMHO make a large portion of scale impression, the smaller the scale, the more important it is not to have big black ridges carved over the surface - you have an excellent example here of how (at least in my opinion) the right effect is achieved!

Very cool 👍
This looks interesting, will wait to see more!
Very cool Marco. Amazing what you can do in that scale 👍
Nice, seen one in Ovda. 👍 Not too clean?😉
Impressive attention to detail 👍

Happy New Year! A few more things are done in my small Su-24M! Drop tanks are ready for primmer. The wheels parts are all malformed and were cleaned after pressfitting into mandrels and turning them round.

Wow, very impressive! This Thing is so small and so realistic! Congrats mate, very well done
absolutely astonishing...amazing to look at...bravo
Thank you, you're all to kind. This is an old build, completed some 10 years ago. I have Eduard's new Dr.I stipdown, which IMHO is much better then the old kit. I hope to work on it soon and when I do, I'll share it in Scalemates for sure!

They are Israeli markings indeed!
The attached profile is for the aircraft I am trying to model (the profile is from the Isradecal book on the F-15I Ra'am).
Almost completed! I still need to add some heavier staining around the exhaust nozzles.
I hope to complete it soon.
Look really nice and clean. You must have spent a long time on that canopy.
