Treehugger Re. photo 4, is that masking tape on the inside of the canopy?
10. February at 11:06:02
Treehugger Nice paint work and detailing inside the canopy :)
10. February at 11:08:05
Alexander Perov Thank you. no inside it's not a mask it I brushed

Alexander Perov Hello, thank you, colleagues.
This set.
Very bad.
release firm a star scale of 1/48
11. February at 18:12:16
Treehugger I am building this too, so some extra care is going into cleaning up parts and such. I am not intending to research the ideal range of authenticity, just whatever I think might be correct. I did buy some resin rocket pods, nose cannon and wheels iirc.

Else, Zvezda is apparently releasing their 1:48 version soon. Heh, I should really finish mine before the Zvezda one comes out.

Alexander Perov спасибо .кок винта и лопасти это вектор
12. December 2019 at 07:13:34
Slavo Hazucha Very nicely executed job Alexander, I think that considered the losses and average time in action these planes had, the relatively mild weathering is absolutely plausible. If you mind, I would be courious how the yellowish/green stain around the bottom/tail represents? Something specific, or artistic freedom? Looking really great all over
12. December 2019 at 10:14:30
Alexander Perov Looking at the historical photos I still got very little dirty in the area of the rear support.
12. December 2019 at 11:17:10
Alexander Perov considering the rotation of the rear wheel while steering on the ground and grass I think such colors were possible
12. December 2019 at 11:19:28
Slavo Hazucha I guessed so, probably a harder touchdown or "airfield quality" could lead to the rear touching ground... good job!

19. July 2019 at 11:49:01
Slavo Hazucha Another great model Alexander... The wing weathering and color transition to used pale look is really excellent & for me the highlight of the whole thing. You really have a long list of weathering & damage techniques checked :) The propeller effect is also an interesting feature, works really well in some perspectives.
19. July 2019 at 13:27:23
Jens Hello Alexander, what a madness in the colors, just brilliant, the aging fits perfectly with the well-known pictures, almost a 1: 1 copy of the model Congratulations, just dreamlike

Slavo Hazucha wow Alexander, another beauty. You seem to have a corner in your heart for old&damaged aircraft, I like that The work on the wing is superb, the balance of the heavy weathering overal just admirable... You know your trade sir! MiG-21's are just such great objects to torture... ;)
14. July 2019 at 11:56:16
Nathan Dempsey That's some truly lovely weathering.

Alexander Perov Thanks to all .over the diorama yet thought. I guess it will. and the rotor blades, I think if your prototype FW-190 is wide, they're probably wooden.
13. July 2019 at 08:25:24
Michael Hickey That's right you jolted my memory Alexander, the wide chord props are wooden. Thanks :)
13. July 2019 at 11:57:01
Slavo Hazucha Thanks mates for all the info - I knew Germans used all kinds of hacks in late WWII due to different shortages, but not wooden propellers... Interesting really, since lack of most metals was not the biggest issue afaik, lots of factory-new planes & tanks just standing around without fuel in '44-45. Also that it is mounted on such a high-performance plane surprised me - always learning

5. July 2019 at 20:12:42
Slavo Hazucha Very nice metal finish and chipping. The immaculate canopy also helps a lot to make look it so good.

Out of interest, what does the struck kill (2nd from left, bottom row) mean - one that was denied later?
6. July 2019 at 07:00:59
Alexander Perov Thanks for the comments of Ki-61-I "Hien" Commander 244th "Senta" Major Teruhiko Kobayasi, Japan, April 1945. The bomber, shot down by a ram strike, is marked in a special way.

Cristian Bordina Great job Alexander, I agree with all the mates, waves are wonderful, but the idea to represent the sea floor is fantastic. The weathering of the sunk Zero is really appropriate. So, in my opinion, you made a masterpiece :)

14. April 2016 at 17:50:28
Patrick Hagelstein So, is this the same setup as with coporado? Is this also a display case with the waves as a roof panel? If so, how did you let all the animals float around?
28. March 2019 at 01:22:39
Alexander Perov The Waves are made of transparent sealant on transparent plastic. And animals in different ways that on a thin wire others on a transparent piece of thin plastic
28. March 2019 at 14:26:12
Patrick Hagelstein Thanks for the explanation! I am pondering on a diorama with a semi submerged Sherman tank near the coast line of Saipan and I wanted to have some fish and a diver figure swimming around it. I now think I have an idea to go ahead.
