Yes, I love these older Matchbox kits, and I bought this one very cheap as the previous owner had started with it and left it in a sorry state. Fortunately it is all complete, and I'll continue to finish this lovely model.

I had build this kit back in 75 and I would like to rebuild it now. As some pieces are missing is it possible for you to scan the instructions manual. If so, please tell me about the costs. Hope to ear from tou soon.

I've added the instructions manual for the Jaguar with a pdf file in the kit database. It's 4 pages in total. I bought this kit many years ago second hand, and unfortunately the previous owner made some markings with a pen or a marker for him self. It is still usable. I f you like to receive a copy by email please send me a PM. Cheers, Ferry.

Once more thank you very much for the instructions. I've downloaded them and as soon as the car is done I'll share it here. All the best for you.

Thank you Kathleena, and welcome to Scalemates. Matchbox made a lot of different kits during the 1970's and 1980's. Cars, aircraft, ships, military vehicles in various scales. Some of them are or where re-edited by Revell who bought all of the Matchbox tooling. Offcourse you can find a lot of these kits here at Scalemates. And I'll have to finish that Jaguar some day 🙂

In fact some of the original Matchbox moulds were purchased by Revell and kits were issued under Revell brand, Kathleena, like He-70 or Twin Otter 😉

matchbox kits..... the times when OOB was truly OOB and i did not worry about sanding, or right color and.... just enjoyed the build so much. well not always, i was really crazy with some that seemed impossible to build "right" at that time 😄 :d

Album info

I bought this kit form a fellow builder who had started on this model a long time ago.
My first jobs were to take it apart in a good way to restart again. The engine comes full chromed in the kit, so after a cleanup to remove the chrome, I also cleaned and trimed some of the other parts which were allready build. The bodywork was luckely still unpainted, and furthermore the whole kit still complete. It's a project which slowly progresses in the background, but I will post updates in due time.
