hiveloc The turret slat mounting is going to the top of my NOT FUN list! I had a sheet of paper full of measurements and helpful tips from @André Silva, but I still ended up spending too much time testing and fitting everything in place. An unfortunate tip-over during construction had me re-attaching some of the parts- sigh.

hiveloc The TC and loader are from the old Dragon "US Tank Crew" with some minor manipulations and the driver is from an old (Tamiya ?) AAV-7 kit that I built a Long time ago.

Carlos Cisneros Thanks for the explanation. I was wondering if those guys were the Dragon figures…. At least the ones in the turret hatches… didn't even notice the driver until you mentioned him.
hiveloc Who knows if this even exists? He sure had no trouble taking payment, then after 6 patient months of waiting and seeing posts of "I'm catching up on orders now," a refund with no explanation. It sounds like the original resin producer was great, but don't get your hopes up here.

bk1009 No problemo, I was just sharing a tip I stumbled upon (maybe on Reddit?) when I was worrying about a set of Panzergrenadiers I made turned out paler than an Irish vampire XD By the way, thanks to the fantastic work you did with the BMD, I decided to grab me a couple of those (with one destined for some serious interbreeding with a BMP-3 😄 )

bk1009 Ah, and one final thing I noticed while copying your work, errr... I mean while I was verifying how PE5 should look on the model - in case you want to take a photo of your fantastic BMD-4M with a deep field of view (so the entire bugger is in focus), but don't have access to the necessary camera/lens - you may want to give focus stacking a try. It's literally as easy as taking 3 pictures from (roughly) the same spot that focus on 3/5 spots on the kit and then using Enfuse (a fantastic free tool) to create a seamless composite image that's entirely focus. Ah, and if those pics are an artistic choice, uhh, please disregard this comment 🙂
