Hello Nathan, it is my first kit from Bobcat, two Yak 28 are still waiting 🙂 I am already done with the rear stand and one side cockpit, the color details are a bit strange, it is better to look for the original on Russian pages, including the ejectors are oversized and a few have to be processed very well, because this is exactly where switch boxes and devices come in ..... but if everything is clean, it fits together quite well 🙂

Hello Alexander, the biggest concern with the Bobcat model is the very rough surface, I would like to do a metal finish, that will surely mean many hours of sandpaper and polish 🙁

If you want, I can email you a book with photos and diagrams in the e-mail

Thank you Alexander, that would be very nice, except for the CD vob HpH and some pictures from Dresden I have no extra information about IL 28

Flap to monkey dead, okay, the IL 28 has a lot of window space, all the entrances remain open, so the inner life is meaningfully upgraded with PE particles, unfortunately, the further fit shows the bad fit of the parts, you should in All construction stages dry fit in advance, not only the parts in the step of the assembly instructions, check 5 steps in advance what fits and where it should end up in the end, the grinding itself is nothing big, but the maintenance flaps and rows of rivets have to be re-engraved , otherwise the hull remains pretty naked and under the metal finish that would be almost a death sentence for the model itself .......

I put my IL 28 aside for the time being, it is enough for me at the moment with sandpaper, the sink points described in the reports at the direct connection points on the wings I still gritted my teeth, but, with the first layer of aluminum polish, there were sink points along the entire length of the wings to show up, top / round connections, that robbed me of all my lust at the moment ....

Looks like I might have to attempt the Hpm one after all 🙁

ohhh yes Augie that would be an investment that you would certainly regret less frightening, even if HpH is not free of errors, but still freed from the many hours of grinding dust, even if it is a resin model ...

I plan on doing mine in Nigerian markings and camouflage. Hopefully that will hide all the putty needed.

Hello Nathan, it will be easier but it will not be possible without a spatula, some reworking is required on the vertical tail to the fuselage, the surfaces should be adjusted dry, it is simply not Tamiya and unfortunately with such modern new shapes it is also very much manufactured without expertise (mold making)

Jens,

I have the Hpm already.. its enough to scare me.. but I have powertools now so maybe not so bad,
