Mc Donnell F3-H2 Demon
Getting started with the Aires McDonnell ejection seat. Some wire and tubing added.
Aires cockpit tub looks quite nice I guess
Airbreaks and arrestorhook - housing
Molded-on rudder base structure has to be removed -
and replaced by PE
After glueing the „cheeks“ (slightly overengineered i.mh.o.) into position it looked like this
30 minutes later
Afterburner can primed and masked
Nosegear, LSO light and landinglight added.
First paint: Metalizer aluminum for the exhaust panels
First off white underside coat laid down
Pink base on
International Orange on, masks off
Coroguards on, insignia red for the insides of the airbrakes. Almost home
Brakes, wheels and walkways on
Decalling in progress, decals are quite a nightmare, brittle and delicate, but the endresult is not bad….
Washing done
Decaling done, all lettering and numbers were kindly supplied by Bernhard Schrock, many thanks !
Added the last finishing touches today. Calling this finally done !

Unfortunately, there is no decalset as far as I know. Fortunately there is only Numbers and lettering that hast to be printed.

Thomas BischoffIt's a beauty! …. I challenge the "done" part. The project picture of the real thing suggests orange wingtips to me.

@ Thomas the 5254 had them, the 5257 did not, sorry, no orange wingtips 😄
I added both pictures in the beginning before final decision was made, which one it would be. In the end I went for the latter, because the orange part on the aft fuselage was larger.
