A new project! Gonna be a weekend-type.
Started with adding some details to the interior. Made floor higher with some plastic, added seats from leftovers, also detailed them with handles from wire. Added steering wheels, made from staples and sprues.o

Detailing the engines with wire. 3 engines, 27 cylinders, each one will have 6 individually wrapped and knotted wire - 152 operations in total!

Making the push rods. First, you make small holes, two for each cylinder.
Here's the engine, completely prepared for installation of push rods
Push rods are made from stretched sprue. Before attaching, I apply small drop of Tamiya liquid glue into the premade holes, then install the rods.
Nearly finished engines. The main is drying, before the excess can be cut off
Finished engines are on the plane!

Update: started to detail the engines. 3 engines, 27 cylinders, each one will have 6 individually wrapped and knotted wire - 152 operations in total! 1 done, 2 to go. Also will have to invent some pushing rods, too.

And I think upgrading engines too much in 1:72 is a waist of time for me..... You're in a totally different league Dmitriy, just marvellous work on this scale! 👍

So tiny and so beautiful! It`s a shame I am to big to sit in one of those comfortable seats. A few years ago I sat in a restored original Tante Ju in the Junkers Museum in Dessau.
